A simple morning routine can be difficult for someone not quite tall enough to reach the sink. Sure kids can use a step stool, but when you share a bathroom, they can be cumbersome. Check out this simple addition to a basic hardware store vanity. A little DIY makes a huge difference in this home!
In Ana White's home if a problem can be fixed with wood, she does it. In this case, she opted to do without a step stool that might be in the way for other guests and headed to the hardware store instead.
With a bit of lumber and a few drawer slides, she was able to pry off the existing front detailing panel and implement a drawer that slides out for her daughter's teeth-brushing convenience. Although it might not be a project for a beginning crafter, there's sure to be someone in your family/friend arsenal who could help out!

Sooo smart! I am seriously considering this.
That is such a great element for a child, and I love that it's hidden.
I Agree. GREAT idea!
Would be great if the step tread was removable so that this becomes an added storage drawer when the child no longer needs it.
