We're sure everyone is familiar with the traditional "herb" or "strawberry" terra cotta pots. They have several pockets on the sides for numerous plantings. Well, there's a new kid in town, and its called "The Vertical Garden." We first saw these at the Spring Garden Show last month and were intrigued by their simple concept. The Vertical Garden is a modular planter system that basically consists of a series of plastic stacking trays.
You can stack them up to six levels high, or hang them as many as five at a time. There's an irrigation system designed so that when you water the top pot, all of them get watered as well. Since they go vertical, it's great for small corners in apartments or condos. You can order a kit online or find out more info at their website.
