There are a few things that we're big fans of: coffee, neat clocks, and upcycling electronics are just a few of them. Due to our aforementioned affection for these three things, we couldn't resist posting about this cool upcycled coffee cup alarm clock.
Using a discarded French press, a small alarm clock, and a coffee mug, Philadelphian designer Gregory Siegal has created a unique clock that is a great example of upcycling done well. The designer seeking to explore the meaning of the form of products in relation to their function, has created a product that plays with the relationship between form and function in a clean, simple, and beautiful way. The clock tells time by aligning the hole in the woven metal with one of the 12 holes of the metal plate behind it after every hour.
