hacks and all thing vintage game related so it is no surprise that we are writing about this Dreamcast project. Using the new touchscreen Nano an intrepid Japanese hacker was able to bring new life to his old Dreamcast VMU (visual memory unit). Now aren't you wishing you did not toss that old VMU?
Using a few tools including an ultrasonic cutter, Goteking altered his Dreamcast VMU to fit his new iPod Nano. Although the buttons do not work, this hack is still pretty fun and is a nice way to protect your new Nano. To see the device in action, check out the video. We think that this is a clever hack and is a fun way to pay homage to vintage gaming. This gadget also makes a great gift for the gamer geek in your life.
