We have posted about some very cool coffee tables before ranging from ones that resemble one of our favorite music devices to very posh concepts. This coffee table like the LED Ripple coffee table, loves to be touched, as a matter of fact it is a touchscreen.
We have seen touch screen devices integrated into furniture as part of a home automation system like those at the Savant NYC Experience Center, but this is one of the few devices we have seen marketed as a stand alone product.
The T3-B from Digital Touch integrates a 26-inch touch screen LCD on the surface of the coffee table. With the T3-B you can can through Wi-Fi browse, select, and interact with different options (although Digital Touch does not exactly specify which options). You can also hook up a TV tuner to the table, although we think this might be more useful in a commercial setting than in a living room.
What do you think? Useful piece of furniture, or just another unnecessary touch screen integrated where it does not need to be.
