Brooklyn Magazine shares a look inside the vintage modern home of Frank Muytjens, who also uses his creative talents as the head of men's design for apparel retailer J. Crew.

With a style that is reminiscent of Thomas O'Brien, Muytjens has filled his space with mid-century finds in a dusty neutral color palette. He displays contrast between earthy natural textures like wood and leather with slick modern finishes such as polished nickel and chrome. Of the look, Muytjens says, "I like old things, antique things with a patina... there's never really a plan, it's just intuitive." It's no surprise that someone with such a strong sense of personal style continues to inspire in all realms of design.

Shaw's Original Fir...
This is smart and comfortable, but it's more of the same. I live in Williamsburg and everyone has something to this effect going on in their homes and restaurants. I don't mean to be a downer, but I guess I am. On the bright side, I think we'll be getting some new funky fresh ideas on the horizon soon enough!
Mostly clicked on this post because of the sweet Vizsla in the living room! I have a Vizsla too!! :)
Very comfy & cozy! I've lived in Williamsburg Brooklyn my whole life (I'm 32) and like looking at neighborhood apartments on AT & get inspired. :)
