The Zentner Collection is a little like San Francisco's Fumiki, a mix of contemporary and vintage Asian furnishings and art -- only bigger. Full of exquisite Asian antiques, this 35,000-square foot Emeryville treasure house is a good place to visit if you're decorating in this vein or looking for a special accent piece.

We're impressed with the breadth and quality of the collection, which includes furniture, accessories, lighting, and art (prints, displayable antique clothing) from China, Japan, and Korea. Each individual object is carefully selected for "its whimsical spiritual essence and eminent skill in craftsmanship."

The collection is vast and includes a large range of styles and periods. Individual pieces, all one-of-a kind, range from simple to ornate, from rough-hewn to delicate. Prices are on the high end, and so is quality.
