These homes built by Russian company Skydome may look cool, but they're also practical. The domed structure can withstand over 1,500 pounds of snowfall per meter.

Much like the Jetsons-esque Futuro house, dwellings without flat roofs prevent heavy snow from piling up and causing structural damage. The Skydome comes in six models that vary in size, and are also earthquake resistant, energy efficient, and constructed from 95% eco-friendly materials. Plus, they just look cool.
