These stools made by Italian designer Giancarlo Zema are beautiful works of art just as they are, with the beautiful wood curves and rich tones. But little can you tell from the photo above that they have a bright and shining secret!

The insides are lit all aglow from internal LEDs that make an already pretty and polished piece that much more exciting. Although I don't have an extreme need for glowing stools in my home, I can see them being quite stunning at an occasional party or just as they are with the lights on. I never knew I needed a glowing stool... until now!

Usually the Giancarlo Zema Design Group works with all things aquatic. They can be found building organic and natural yacht interiors and other assorted marine based projects. You can read about their ongoings here as it's a corner of the design world you don't often get a look at.
