To swim or not to swim—that is a serious question on the mind of anyone who has ever wanted to take a dip in the hotel pool but couldn't tear themselves away from the stunning views. We admit that choosing between a refreshing swim and taking in an equally refreshing landscape isn't the most difficult dilemma to face while you're on vacation, but for lucky visitors of Italy's Hotel Hubertus, choosing between the two activities is a non-issue: The architect in charge of the property's re-design came up with the grand idea of placing a window inside the hotel's elevated pool.

NOA, or Network of Architecture, helmed the makeover of the gorgeous hillside hotel in Valdaora, which features an 82-foot infinity pool that dangles off the main structure, hovering 40 feet above the ground.

In addition to its precarious position, the obvious highlight of the pool is its uniquely placed window, which grants guests an unobstructed view of the mountains and sprawling valley below. As scary as it sounds, this is probably the one time we'd feel comfortable ignoring the words, "Don't look down."

While the window definitely provides an exceptional view from inside the pool, NOA didn't skimp on its stunning exterior. Architects used stone that resembles the hues of the surrounding landscape, making this pool the perfect candidate for our list of pools with the best views.
