Murphy beds are small space staples, but you don't often see beds that tuck up against the ceiling. French furniture company Décadrages created BedUp, a line of beds that raise and lower from the ceiling as needed.

There are three models: Cocoon, which uses semi-translucent panels on the footboard (above); Vision, which lowers on steel cables; and Campus, a single bed that comes with an optional workspace underneath.
