This Bud's For You: On Sibling Style...

AT reader Kelley shares a photo of her older brother's apartment.
If you have siblings, do you ever hear, "Wow, you and your brother/sister look EXACTLY alike!"? I do. All the time, although I will categorically deny it. And while my brother and I share similar tastes (artwork, NBA, terrible action movies starring Jason Statham), our decorating styles are on opposite ends of the spectrum...

While my brother is currently in a "black leather + chrome + Asahi BeerBot = bachelor" phase right now (very 80s, very Wall Street), I've been trying to see if there are any parallels between our homes. So far, the only thing I've come up with are the needlepoint pieces that our mother gave us--and that doesn't count.

As different as our homes may be, it doesn't hold a candle to the difference between the homes of AT reader Kelley and her older brother. While Kelley is in the process of revamping her studio apartment with vintage Paul McCobb chairs and refinishing her recently acquired Danish credenza, her brother credits the fine folks at Anheuser-Busch as his decorating inspiration. "There are so many great things happening in this photo of his apartment," she mused, "Like...what happened to the toy car missing in the front row on the dresser? And how does his girlfriend stand this? Sometimes, I can't believe we're related."

Do you and your siblings have similar homes or are your interior decorating styles complete opposites?
