How much TV time is the right amount? You might reconsider after seeing artist Donna Stevens' portrait series entitled "Idiot Box." Using the unique perspective of shooting children's faces while they're lost in a screen, she highlights the powerful mesmerizing force of entertainment. These blank, vacant stares are unnerving to say the least.

You can almost see the images and ideas flowing — unfettered — into these impressionable minds. They certainly make a captive audience. So do these faces represent a dark side of technology or is it okay to let kids get sucked into their shows once in a while?
