This Levitating Tree Tests the Limits of How Happy The Internet Can Make Us

It's days like this that I'm so tickled that the internet exists. In real life (or the 90's), I'd most likely never have stumbled upon awesome street art like this tree, quietly levitating on a lonely, country road in Germany, but thanks to the magic of the ole' www, I get to spend my time trolling for wild, weird and double-take inducing stuff to share with you. So let's get down to brass tacks: how did they do it? (Hint: you probably have everything you'd need to recreate this gag in your house right now)

Artists Daniel Sierin and Mario Shu used tin foil (tin foil!) and spray paint to visually bisect the tree and make it appear to float.

Take a closer look.

Boom. Mind blown. Happy Tuesday.
