Part of a new development in south London, a glass-bottomed swimming pool will be suspended between two ten-story apartment blocks. Modeled after an aquarium, the sky pool will connect the two buildings, slated for completion in 2017.

The pool will measure 25 meters long, five meters wide and three meters deep, and was designed by engineers at Arup Associates with consultations from marine and aquarium design experts.

The buildings, located in the new Nine Elms quarter, will also have a pedestrian bridge below the pool connection, plus a rooftop bar, spa and orangery.
