Ever get the wrong bag of screws and bolts in a flat pack furniture box? A team of researchers have created software that designs furniture so that it fits together like a puzzle, without hardware.

The team from Nanyang Technological University shows off tables, chairs, even a bunk bed in their demo.

Assembled in a specific order so that the last piece is the "key," They created the software to analyze a design and create the interlocking pieces so that they not only slide together, but they don't slide apart— until you remove the key, and then you can disassemble and move it.

The team is currently looking for a corporate partner to turn their software into real furniture. IKEA, give them a call.
