We've got another scrub-free assignment for you: cleaning and organizing your computer files. National Clean Out Your Computer Day was February 9th, so let's work on getting our digital files in order. For this weekend's Apartment Therapy Weekend Project, we're going to be whipping our computer files into shape and setting up a backup schedule. Set aside an hour or so for this task.

This Weekend's Assignment:

Clean up and organize your digital files

Depending on the status of your current digital file system (or the amount of files randomly stored on your desktop), this could be a big task for you, but it's a vital one for everyone.

This weekend, take the time to whip your digital life into shape by deleting old files you don't need and then creating and organizing your existing files into a file structure that will make it easier to find files you do need. Then, backup your important files and set yourself reminders in your calendar to clean out and backup your files regularly all year long. If you know what you need to do, jump right in! If you need a little more guidance, check out the how-to tutorial above.
