Though a technically small design detail, when grout covers a large surface area of a bathroom, kitchen or tiled room and it's dirty — grimy, black or old-looking — it dramatically changes the feel of a space. This weekend, freshen up a room in your home; we share some of our favorite tips for getting grimy grout back to looking like new!
This Weekend's Assignment:
Thoroughly clean the grout in one room to make it look like new
Or close to new, anyway. Choose a room in your home that's got some grimy, dirty looking grout to show some special cleaning attention to this weekend.
It might be your bathroom. Maybe it's the grout on your kitchen counters. Perhaps it's the tile in your entry that always looks dirty even after you've cleaned the floors. Regular mopping doesn't always help your grout look like new — but occasionally giving your grout some special attention will. Choose a room in your home that either sees a lot of traffic or one that's a size you can tackle based on how much time you've got this weekend. Use the how-to tutorial above for a great way to clean your grout, or look to some of our other great posts full of grout-cleaning secrets. And if you have some serious tips, tricks and secrets for getting grout to look like new, be sure to share them in the comments below!
