Now is a great time to start shopping for a 2014 calendar, since you'll have plenty of time to be picky about the calendar(s) you'll be living with for a whole year. But for me, it can be hard to find a calendar which appeals to both my love of pop culture television with my appreciation for good design. Here are my current potential favorites, all inspired by three favorite TV shows...
Here's three calendars for TV addicts to grace on or above your desk...or anywhere around the house you like to keep a calendar to refer to:
Parks and Rec Calendar: $24
Paperchat is creating some of the most hilarious Parks and Rec art online. Who doesn't want to sit down to work with a giant "Treat Yo Self" message in their face? I do, that's for sure.
Twin Peaks Skinny Calendar: $25
Many of the phrases and quotes from David Lynch's beloved TV series Twin Peaks can seem sort of ridiculous on the surface. But the truth is the show is filled with really good advice or insight, like: "Achievement is its own reward, pride obscures it", "Don't search for all the answers at once. A path is formed by laying one stone at a time", and my personal favorite, "Everyday, once a day, give yourself a present" (I can get behind that). Calendar designs inspired by the now iconic show are available at, So It Goes Shop on Etsy.
Cute Superhero Calendar: $25
Whether it's the animated series, The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, or the upcoming Agents of Shield, or the long-gone, but much lauded animated Justice League you love - this calendar by Loopz Art offers an adorable edition of illustrations for hero worship for fans of the mightiest team of superheroes.
