Q #1: My home was built in 1978 and I have a huge brown tub (that I can't afford to replace), brown Kohler toilet, and bidet. I have to replace the toilet (it broke beyond repair) and Kohler no longer makes them in brown. Can you recommend a complementary color for a replacement toilet (and bidet)? The bathroom floor is tiled in natural travertine and there is a short wooden tub surround visually separating the tub and toilet. I was going to go with a white toilet but am afraid the contrast will be too stark. Thanks for your help! -Sent by Zoe
Q #2: In an effort to save money, I've decided to move into an older apartment; not a lot of updates, but it's clean so that's good enough for me. I have several ideas on how to jazz up the place but I am stumped by the blue bathroom. Everything in there is blue, down to the toilet itself. I am absolutely clueless as to what color combo I should incorporate in there. I can't even think of a shower curtain color or pattern. The floors are white tile. Any ideas will be much appreciated. -Sent by Chantal
Q #3: Hi, I'm helping my mom fix up her project dream home. We fell in love with this blue toilet but we've been unable to find any toilet seat that is either blue, or even vaguely big enough for the somewhat unusual shape. The measurements are 19.75" from the holes to the front edge long x 17.5" wide. Any help is appreciated, we don't want to settle for something that doesn't fit this pretty toilet! - Sent by Alice
Editor: Readers, please share any advice you have for Zoe, Chantal, and Alice- but more importantly, please send me all of your colorful toilet conundrums because I find colorful toilets amusing and confusing. If enough of you write in, this column could become Good Colorful Toilet Questions! That's the dream.
