The O'hEocha Audiophile's Speakers--aka Three Legged Aliens--were designed by former BMW designer Aonghus O'hEocha, who heads up a premier bespoke, hand-crafted audio system design and manufacture house based in Ireland.
Here are some technical details on the speakers: a 1" tweeter drive unit, mounted on an isolated rubber insert with a control spike that minimizes resonance transfer from midrange to treble; two 6 1/2" mid-range drive units, one forward-firing and one rear-firing, mounted on their own suspension system that prevents low frequencies from being transferred to the mid-range enclosure; and two 11" sub-woofers, mounted cone-to-cone in a configuration that generates thunderous bass.
The tiny feet are designed to transfer as little resonance to your floor as possible. These speakers are available through Hammacher Schlemmer for a price tag that matches their hefty specs: $8,995.95. The speakers weigh 55 lbs., and are 42" high by 16.5" wide.
