As I open my doors to trick-or-treaters tonight, these three entryways will be somewhere in the back of my mind. They're very different from one another, but each incorporates orange - the color of the hour - in a successful way:
Allover: The first entry takes an allover approach with a soft, yellow-y orange. A contrasting door in kelly green completes this tidy entry. We love how this space so straight-forwardly provides the essentials: a roof over your head that's articulated with exposed framing, hooks for hanging scarves and jackets, a simle mat underfoot, and a lantern right by the door.
The Door: We love bright orange as an alternative to the traditional red front door. A bright welcome that will be seen both inside and out.
Accent Furniture:This entry takes orange about as far as it will go in one strong accent piece - a bench. It's a perfect complement to the soft blue walls and the bits of orange in the rug and artwork.

White Enamel Flatwa...
I love the first and second one, and t hey are so opposite. The first one is overpowering and the second subtle.
What color/brand is #1? I looked for a color like that.
Alhtough the last ones look good, photo #1 is my favorite. I definitely would consider adding that kind of summery orange to my entryway.
These are fun! I love the last one with the opposing color wheel thang going on.
Love the shade of orange in #2, leaning toward that candy-peanuts hue. They are yucky but I sure love their color. Also, the sophisticated monochromatic subletly of the rest of the space is so perfectly complemented!
I spy a beagle cutie!
I want an orange front door. The color of pumpkin pie would be perfect! Love these.
Oh, wow! Orange is the color of the hour??? I just bought a gallon of Martha Stewart paint in "Pencil" (more orange than I expected). I painted the walls of my kitchen in advance of the upcoming cabinet job. It was a bit scary, it's so bold. But my cabinets are going to be very plain, flat-front, medium brown wood, and I don't want the place to be trying to look serious. It's too quirky a space to be serious. Hence the "Pencil."
#1 looks like a Behr Saffron type. Trilby I chickened out on "Pencil" for the door that opens to my garage. It ended up with MS Eggyolk - still cheerful but I still dream about the punch "Pencil" could have sometimes!
I really love all of these. Like that coir rug in the second one. I'm partial to the last one, because I also have an orange bench against a blue wall and love it.
