Putting together a bedroom for one child is not always an easy task. For two kids - a definite challenge. For three? A triumph. We couldn't find many, but here are five bedrooms from our archives that make a room for three kids look like a (pretty) piece of cake.
• Who could forget this fantastic room for three brothers in Texas? The hanging beds were a show stopper, but the room has lots more to love.
• A bit north in Oklahoma, these three brothers share a decidedly "not girly" room filled with creative decor.
• Sophia, Ava & Olivia share a 9' by 14' room in St. Louis with Oeuf furniture and a prized book collection arranged in rainbow colors.
• Miles, Linus & Oliver have grown up, but here's their New Orleans baby nursery for triplets.
• And, of course, it was only a few weeks ago that we had the pleasure of seeing this 100 square foot room for three brothers under age 5! It won my own Honorable Mention for most kids per square foot in our Smaller Cooler contest.

Awww! I was wondering why I was all of a sudden getting a lot of traffic from that page. Carrie, I'll have to send you some pictures of their new big-boy bedroom! That room is now their playroom. :)
Love the rooms with three kids. My two older children (5, 18mos) share a room, and when their baby brother (due any day) sleeps through the night, he will join them :)
I love shared rooms, and these are beautiful examples. However, I've heard many stories of the days when my husband and his two brothers shared furnished by a bunk bed and a twin, just like the example above, and apparently there was plenty of soaring, even without an inspirational sign. I worry for my daughter, that she may have inherited her father's diminished sense of danger.
I love seeing all these shared bedrooms! If we stay in our current house, which is likely, we are considering moving our kids to the master bedroom and having us take the kid's room to maximize space. I know some people think three kids in one room is crazy but sometimes it's a necessity--nice to see such lovely, well-planned out spaces!
Still loving the hanging bed post!
@pyjammy, would love to see the new big boys room too!
What mattresses are being used here?
Are there any examples of boy and girl siblings sharing the same room? I think that would be a worthy challenge!
