Some of the best children's parties stem from the most simple of ideas — like a paper airplane. This party thrown for Nolan who just turned 1 has some big, bold color and a feast of surprises and personal touches. Check out all the details, including a ridiculously simple marshmallow treat!

You'll find this fabulous party over at Buggie and Jellybean where everything looked like a most wonderful day. There were small sets of wings for all the children (and adults!) to wear, sunglasses (because every kid needs a pair of aviators), snacks and more.

We love the small containers of snack crackers and cotton candy, along with the marshmallows that were simply put on a stick, dipped half way in water and then in colored sugar. They make for pretty presentations that all threw together in a flash. There was also a hanger for assorted paper airplanes and we're sure a few were made by party guests as well.

Make sure to head over to Buggie and Jellybean to wish Nolan a very happy first birthday!
