Nomade Express Slee...
These days? I don't iron my clothes at all because I had to finally give up on my cheap old iron and retire it. I look sadly in my closet at my wrinkled clothes and think about how I will wear them again when I can afford a new (maybe not so cheap) iron. And some items I just wear and hope that the wrinkles work as a fashion statement.
um. . . almost never. but if i win this, that all could change and my mother would be very proud.
Last Year:
I put off ironing till I'm done showering in the morning and realize there is absoutely nothing wearable in my closet, leaving me with no choice but to IRON!
Now:
With a baby in the picture, and feeding/playing with him takes a higher priority in the morning, so I iron a week's worth over the weekend.
I iron once every couple of weeks -- since I work in a casual environ. most of what I wear doesn't need to be pressed. BUT I am about to buy my first set of linen sheets and although I suspect I will prefer them rumpled, I may occasionally iron them for a crisp look. This iron would do the trick!!!
Gimme! I have been hanging my clothes in the shower for too long and now that I have a new job requiring professional looking clothes the shower method just won't cut it anymore. Please save me from myself!
Never - because my iron is past prime and my ironing board is broken.
i bulk iron probably once a month but I'd love to put my old iron out to pasture for use in crafty things if i had a new rowenta!
Sure, I wouldn't mind receiving a new iron.
I have to iron my clothes every day with a small travel sized iron (its no bigger than my fist)! I have to use plain water rather than starch because its the only thing that I can afford! But what's a poor capitol hill staffer supposed to do? You can't be a public servant and be wrinkled!
Not often enough, and the skirt I am wearing today could certainly use a few less wrinkles!
pretty much every morning, in a mad dash to get out the door
I don't iron my clothes at all. (Confession: I never learned how to iron.)
If I have something that needs to be ironed, I ask my husband to do it. Most of his clothes need to be ironded and so he irons his tall stack of shirts whenever we do laundry. But if I won this iron, I might even let him teach me how to iron my own clothes.
Once a week and some things like shirts every morning while brushing my Teeth or getting bfast ready.
I use my iron every day because I sew.
I'm entering for my boyfriend, who used an iron for the first time 2 weeks ago....and now irons his shirt every morning before work. Miracle!
If you saw me today at work, you'd know the answer -- not often enough!
On the plus side, I have an ironing board. However, I have learned that laying your wrinkled clothes on the board does not make them any less wrinkled.
For the past 20 years, when we both worked outside the home, every week I iron a weeks worth of clothes, usually pants and tops for both of us. 20 pieces, plus anything extra that we wore on the weekend above jeans and a tshirt.
Since I'm now working from home, I still *lovingly* iron his shirts and pants to have a crisp crease on the sleeve and down the pants; and whatever I might wear that needs it. I do all it on Mondays, usually an hour (used to be two) out of my life that I'll never get back. Can you tell I hate it? But I'm not willing to pay the drycleaning bill even though I could. I set up in front of the tv and watch Judge Alex for an hour, it's not so bad. OH yeah...the margaritas help too. :-)
Not nearly enough -- but I would with this fancy-pants iron..
I used to iron when I didn't feel like washing clothes. A little bit of steam and a splash of Febreeze goes a long way! But my cheapo iron left spots on my favorite black pants and now I am forced to use shower steam only. I also spend a lot more on dry cleaning now.
I don't iron my clothes much either...BUT I started taking pattern making and design courses a few months ago and my puny little Rowenta Steam and Press Steambrush (which is really cute) is not sufficing when I need to iron yards of fabric at a time.
I iron about once every week, on sundays, for about one hour. That's usually enough time for me iron the work clothes I need for the upcoming week. Of course, if I head out to dinner mid-week, I'll iron a little more frequently.
More than I'd like too! My ironing board is a table with a ironing "mat" of sorts that I end up using at least 4 out of 7 times during the week! I have a good ole black and decker right now, but it's steam power (oh so necessary for those fabulousy hard to flat iron clothes) is lacking...I needs me a steam button!!! And that angular shaped top would be of great help too!
I just started ironing my shirts and pants every single day when I get out of the shower. The hot hot humid DC summer makes anything but cotton or linen feel lousy, and that cotton wants a serious ironing before it hits Capitol Hill (which seems also to be the Capitol of Ironing). So I iron (even my tie) every single day. But all I have is a cast iron frying pan that I heat up with a blow torch. If I could just get a new iron as amazing as the Rowenta I'd have crisp clothes in half the time. (Please!)
Never! I am afraid of burning my clothes, so it's the boy's job...he sure would appreciate this iron...
I don't need this because I already own a Rowenta - Although it's a less expensive model than this one, it truly is the best iron I've ever owned.
It heats up super-fast for those quick morning jobs on my dress shirts and produces loads of steam from regular tapwater. It has auto-shutoff for those times i forget to unplug the thing, a self-cleaning function and the stainless steel baseplate makes for uber-smooth ironing with no fear of snagging fabrics.
If there's one thing I miss from home when I'm staying in a hotel and need to press a shirt, it's my Rowenta.
honestly, I don't iron very much but with this I promise I will do more.
Sadly, I depend on steam from my shower and Wrinkle Releaser. Not the most efficient solutions...
I iron things randomly. It's the guy's job to iron. He irons a couple times a week, shirts, pants, whatever. We've got a really ancient iron so a new one that has mucho steam power would be awesome! Come to think of it, I use the iron to steam rather than iron, so yes, I would love to win this iron!
I've used a Rowenta--holy cow! I need to iron more. With this, I would dress more professionally and advance my career :)
Luckily, living in LA, unironed linen is considered to add texture to an outfit. Atleast, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. I iron about every other week.
I also iron once about every three to four weeks. It takes forever and so I usually wait until all of my work clothes are so wrinkly I can't wait any longer. I watch a movie or two and iron everything.
I iron clothes under two conditions: 1) there is absolutely NO clothing options other than the pants I line dried so are all wrinkly and I have some place to be where I am required to look less schlubby than usual, and 2) I'm going to dinner at the home of a close family friend who is a retired Home Ec teacher.
I never iron my clothes. But then, I don't own an iron.
I iron clothes as seldom as possible. However, I sew and quilt and seem to be constantly ironing fabric.
I iron a bunch on Sunday so I'll have clothes ready during the week. If I had this iron, it would probably take a lot less time!
my clothes? rarely. when sewing? all the time.
My husband would love this! He's really picky about ironing his clothes (and does mine for me too), but has been cursing our inexpensive iron of late.
Not as often as I will soon!! I just picked up a brand new ironing board and cover super cheap from Craig's List to take with me when I move out of my Mom's house in August (finally!) And since fall is on the way I need to stock up on cute jeans that will need ironing. All I need now is this iron!
Everyday the boss is in the office (3 - 4 days per week) I iron a shirt, and usually touch up a pair of slacks. I do all my own laundry, never use a drycleaner except for infrequently worn wool suits. I'm a cotton loving man, and I never mind ironing. But a heavy iron with good steam is a great thing.
my cheap iron does nothing to combat wrinkles in my clothes, so i don't iron much at all anymore. so sad, too, because i have at least 10 pieces just waiting to be pressed and worn.
I have a Rowenta iron and I love love love it! I iron twice a week when I do laundry. I like my closet to look like a mini designer clothing store. Everything facing the same direction, like items together, folded the same size, and pressed nice and crisp!
UGH. Being a college student, a few wrinkles are acceptable. But now that I got an internship at a hospital, I will have to iron weekly! This iron would be ammmazing!
I iron about once a week. Sometimes more if I iron my bedding. I love to have ironed bedding.-
Rarely. I'm in the annoying habit of piling up clothes to be ironed until I have nothing left to wear.
once a month, maybe.
I donât own an iron. I own a steamer. When I went to my best friends wedding a more prepared bridesmaid impressed us all with her steamer. Iâve been steaming ever since. As for an actual iron, no can do. When something canât be steamed, I take it to the Lower East Side tailor and pay $2 for an iron (or the whole $8 for a wash and iron)
This iron appears to be an iron AND a steamer. It looks like sweet nectar from the gods!
Once a week or so. Just to keep the creases in my suit pants, and out of my suit jackets. Ah, but with this beauty...watch out!
I iron my shirts whenever I need to, about once a week.
I iron maybe once every two months when I visit my parent's house. They have a nice laundry room where I can spread out and really handle my business. Since I live in a studio apartment and have no room for an ironing board I usually make due with a crappy hand steamer from Duane Reade. It is no replacement for an iron and it makes me sad.
Well I like to make a good first impression so I iron everyday right before I put my clothes on (this is my first full time - since graduating in May). Also, I'd like to pull out my sewing machine and get to work on a few projects. A nice iron will put professional touches on my DIY projects.
Roman shades anyone?
i never iron... but that could be because i inherited an iron that could qualify for an antique. i'm lucky i don't have to heat it on the stove!
I iron a huge batch of work clothes about once every two weeks, and would love one of these!
in our house the iron is used 7 days a week--every morning.
Hubby ironed his dress shirt this am for a graduation ceremony
today and I iron vest and slacks. We have 3 irons at present==and three in the garage.....husband has been in a quest for the perfect iron for years but his frugal Scotch blood
won't spring for the Rowenta......maybe I can win one!!
Thanks,Missy from the Bayou
Ooo, I just threw away my broken iron this morning! I have to sneak my roommates when he's in the shower. I iron my clothes three or four times a week - just whatever I'm about to put on for work, if it looks too crumpled to be seen in.
Honestly, I iron my clothes (only a few) about once or twice a month when the collar starts to drift off it's normal spot.
Call me lazy but $175 iron seems ludicrous...especially when I'm too lazy to iron my own clothes. If it has to be ironed...I won't wear it...or it sits in a pile for a month till I take it to the cleaners and make them iron it for me.
How Steamy! I iron every so often, but my momma would love this.
I don't iron my clothes all that often, but I am a sew-er/ quilter and have been in need of a iron with good steam function for quite a few years now! Will be using it at least twice a week for my craft-y projects. Just about to throw away my iron from college to buy a new one, so this giveaway is super timely!
ohhhh! Rowenta! This would be like ironing in space. Ironing on air. Heaven.
For a guy who does weekly ironing, this Rowenta sure looks like it can handle a large amount easily. The key is steam and 400 steam holes is glorious.
Me please! My iron is currently on the brink.
I iron. Every. Day. The $9.99 Target model I have has to be banged on the ironing board 10 or 20 times just to get to to steam. Weakly. I would already have considered buying a Rowenta if it cost less than a used car.
i put my (leaky) iron to use after my weekly laundry expedition.
my boss would be so happy if i won this haha
The hiss of the steam, the comfy feeling of a warm, wrinkle-free shirt on a cold morning, the back and forth motion and focus on getting out a particular crease can be quite zen. Truly, I would iron everyday, if I could. This all being said, I haven't in almost 8 months due to my loveable puppy (in his teething stage) deciding to eat through my beloved Black and Decker's cord. Luckily it wasn't plugged in, but still...I did not enjoy coming home to my pup lounging on the couch gnawing on what looked like the longest black licorice ever made while the iron itself was mangled in another room. le sigh...
I should iron when I do laundry which is about every 2 weeks. Luckily my husband does not like my ironing skills so I don't have to do his clothes too (he doesn't like my laundry skills either so we do our clothes separately). Unfortunately my husband thought it would be a great idea to iron his circuit boards (yes I said circuit boards, we are both engineers and there are scary chemicals in my garage for making demo boards) with our only working iron (his from college which was practically brand new when we got married 2 years ago, mine was ruined by my starch-loving ROTC roommate). It would be wonderful to have a new powerful iron that is used just for clothes.
I usually try to do all my heavy ironing for the week on Sunday. Although some weeks I'm just plain lazy and do it every morning before leaving for work.
A new high quality iron would definitely help my cause!
I iron every single morning and this woud make my life so much easier! I love Rowenta! It's the best!
I iron once a week: skirts and tea towels. No "dress shirts" after the rust stain of '06 incident.
I iron in my clothes for the whole week on Sundays.
I hate ironing with a passion. Almost as much as taping (painting prep). Almost. But I can't very well show up to work looking like I slept in my clothes! That said, I iron six nights a week. Saturdays are my free days!
I try to iron everything on sundays but usually end up doing a haphazard job 5 minutes before I have to run out the door.
I iron about twice a week, but I use my iron mostly for sewing. I'm working in quilts now, so a good press is essential!
Almost never... my iron is terrible. I promise to iron more often with this one!
For some reason I used to iron everything (t-shirts, jeans, shorts, all of it) when I was young but now I take advantage of actually hanging my clothes out of the dryer. The only things I'll iron now are dress shirts, slacks or anything that won't naturally flatten on the hanger. I prefer ironing right out of the dryer instead of waiting until the morning when I have nothing else to wear and raising my pre-work stress levels.
I iron when I have to...i.e. when all my knit shirts are in the hamper! Maybe if I get this iron, my daughters will do the ironing for me. (yeah right)
Oh, the iron. I iron my daily clothes every morning before I head to school. Unfortunately, the iron is something like 35 years old as it was my mother-in-laws before it was ours. It spits and spits, even when I think all the water is out of it and resort to using a spray bottle. And, last week I accidentally burned a favorite item with the setting on low and just can't bring myself to paying such a high price for a new iron. Help!
I try try try very hard not to iron, but for those rare occasion when there is no choice - this iron would be great!
my closet has a bunch of clothes i never wear because i always forget to iron them, it's terribly sad. i think with this iron i'd be more willing to tackle the stack.
i iron almost every morning. this iron would be great!
My boyfriend takes care of our ironing - it's so wonderful of him, I'd love to contribute the iron to the cause. (about three times a week.)
I used to iron my clothes all the time when I lived in a house with an actual laundry room. Now, in a tiny apartment with no on-site laundry and no iron, I don't do any. Which is tragically ironic, since having to haul my clothes from the laundromat/a friend's house after drying, all my clothes have been terribly wrinkly lately.
As a mom and all around crafty gal I iron every day
I don't iron much but if I had a really nice iron like this one I may apt to iron more.
I iron all the time, I find it very calming! I even iron my sheets! :)
I'm also one to iron primarily when I'm working on a sewing project.
Oy! Seems I'm always ironing in the summer-- at least once a week. I like my cottons and linens nice & crisp. Winter woolens are so much more forgiving! =)
I also iron when working on sewing projects. Or when I have an important meeting. Usually a couple times a week but I'd iron more if I had a better ironing board... and a better iron.
Maybe 2x a month. And I always curse my crappy $10 iron from Target as I do it.
Okay - I don't iron really at all anymore (got my fill when I was in the military) but my partner is a fashion designer and literally busted her favorite iron yesterday! Please - we need it! (Okay, need is a strong word, but you know...)
Yes! My iron is so old and cheap, it is longing to be replaced! Plus, I burned my hand on it this week and I don't want to go back to the old one again!
I would love this, I love quilting which requires a lot of ironing and this would help so much
I hate ironing and I rarely do it, but maybe I will now!
don't iron as much as I should, the iron we have is cruddy and old
Coolguy-wrinkled shirts are SO OVER.
Only this morning did I realize my pants and shirt were wrinkly, and I thought that I looked sad.
Today I see you're giving away an iron! Not just an iron, but a great powerful iron!
I think it's a sign.
I think it's a sign that you should...
PICK ME!
PICK ME!
A couple times a week, mainly before I go to work.
I thought wrinkles were in...oh well guess I need one- out in the work force I need one now!
I iron once a week. I'd iron more if my iron wasn't a cheap piece of junk. I would love to win this.
sign me up, i don't own an iron.
I iron all the time with my old dripping iron. Not only clothes but a good iron is absolutely necessary when you're sewing and trying to make your own clothes. Sigh...I lust after a Rowenta like I lust after a good sewing machine.
I might actually start ironing if I got such a nice iron. I only iron for special occasions. Otherwise I just make sure everything gets hung up promptly.
I usually iron on Sundays after I do the laundry...that way during the week I can just grab my work clothes and go in the morning. Thanks for having such great giveaways!
I iron three times a week. I have a compulsive ironing problem. I love it. Gimme Gimme
yes, please
I iron my clothes once a week, but I iron while I sew all the time. I must have this!
I'm a nut. I even iron my jeans.
Almost never. But I'd like to start!
My husband irons almost every day. Most of my clothes are wash n' wear, but I do use my iron frequently for sewing projects.
I iron my clothes just about everyday. My job calls for neat looking clothes. Ironing is something most people take for granted. I remember when I worked in D.C. My rommates asked, "can you teach me how to put those lines in dress shirts?" My response, "those lines are called creases and of course I can show you." I take a lot of pride in ironing and this prize would be FANTASTIC, to say the least.
I generally iron my clothes Tuesday Wednesday Thursday (for each day only) because I'm traveling and the clothes get quite wrinkled in the suitcase. I want this iron for sewing!
I iron things about once or twice a month.... things like linen that really needs it. Also when I sew. But I have a really crappy iron, and I desperately need a new one.
Well never these days because my iron bit the dust and I haven't replaced it. This could save me from looking like a wrinkled mess.
I iron when necessary as far as my clothes go. As a fashion (almost) designer, I iron several times an hour. This iron looks like a great alternative to an industrial one.
i try to iron monday through friday, if i have to go into work. otherwise, only as necessary for dinners, events, etc. it's a pretty quick painless process and a lot easier to do it as needed rather than in bulk on laundry day.
i personally hate ironing and i try to iron everything for the week in one night. but im thinking my grandmother would LOVE this, she iron even the bed sheets and shes always sewing and making clothes, i nice iron would be lovley.
hillary
Eh - once a week - one every other week during the summer (its too nice outside to iron)
i'd iron my clothes way more if i had this guy to work with!
While I do love the truly wrinkly free button down shirts that I have, unfortunately I only have two, and the rest of my button downs seem to love wrinkles. So whenever I need to wear a button down (as opposed to a knit shirt), I pull it out of the closet, frantically iron in my room and run off to work. I also iron frequently when I sew. I have been borrowing my roommate's iron for the past 4 months as my attempt to clean my iron resulted in somehow killing the iron, but she's moving out, so I'm desperate for a good iron!
never before & while in college, always after
Never. My iron also dribbles like grandpa drinking soup. So I always look like I have slept in my clothes for about a week. I could really use this!!
Too often to be healthy, I'm sure. I really enjoy ironing (immediate gratification - wrinkles, then no wrinkles!) and I think I may wrinkle them on purpose...
I love custom dress shirts. I iron clothes at least once a week.
Unfortunately, everyday. In this starchy business world I work in it's important to look stiff!
i use my iron (poor little abused thing) often! usually when i am making new clothes or things for the house. but with three gals sharing one place, it's often moved and misplaced when people need it for actual clothes.
crossing my fingers!
I iron my kid's clothes every day, my own every other day.
I hate to iron ,but like to look put together.
Thank you for the contest.
I would iron every week if I had one of these...my iron is lame and not steamy and my wrinkled garments lie in wait in my closet.....
I iron my dress shirts every morning with my trusty Rowenta travel iron and my mini Ikea ironing board. I would love love love a "grownup" Rowenta!!!!!!!!
Unfortunately, I have to iron almost every day. My clothes require it. But, with this iron, it would be a PLEASURE!!
I iron every morning, but my iron is dying so a new one is on the horizon, how nice to have this one...
We sooo need a new iron - plus I need to iron/steam the velvet curtains I just bought and this would be perfect!
currently my steamy shower is my iron :( that may change in the near future....fingers crossed
I tend to iron once a week - but when I do, I do a lot! Usually my ironing-marathon is when there's an addicting show on tv, usually a mini-marathon of Top Model or Project Runway or something equally silly but oh-so-entertaining!
Currently we are ironless, found a board from the curb, but haven't yet gotten round on buying an iron, so my husband is having a casual friday at work every day now!
Mostly only when I put on something and realize that it is way too wrinkled, and then I have to iron it really fast before I leave the house. But I iron all the time when I'm sewing.
i iron on an as needed basis. usually the prospect of ironing is so boring that i will look for something else to wear rather than the item that need ironing. but once in a while i get in the "ironing zone" set up the board in front of the TV with a good show going or a movie i've already seen but enjoy watching again (16 candles, stuff like that) and then i go to town and can't find enough stuff to iron. i'll start ironing napkins and dishtowels, just cuz i can....
this iron looks like it has great steam!
i iron as rarely as possible. i hate it! i usually only iron when absolutely necessary. i think it's just that my iron is terrible!
If I'm lucky, I iron clothes the evening before work. Most nights I can't get myself to iron after a long day, so lately I iron right before I step out the front door in the morning.
I had a hand held Rowenta in college and loved it, now I use my roommate's not so stellar iron.
I drag out the pre-Cambrian iron only when the rest of the wardrobe is dirty.
Filthy dirty.
Could winning this amazing iron make ironing fun?!?? Will I eventually go door-to-door in my building, offering to iron for my friends and neighbors?
Nahhhhhh.
I would love a new iron. It would encourage me to actually iron things!
My mom irons my clothes...despite her being one state away.
Never, only because I don't even have an iron!! And it's so funny, because I JUST heard about this brand yesterday since my boyfriend's about to by the Rowenta DG-5030, for $150. I wouldn't mind getting this model for free!
I should iron weekly or when I do all the laundry but I don't. I iron as needed which is usually daily.
Is it terrible that I usually just end up sending my wrinkled items to be drycleaned and pressed?? my $20 iron has seen better days...
I iron about every two weeks -- both my clothes and my boyfriend's.
I hate our iron so I rarely use it. I actually can't remember the last time that I ironed something. I'd love to own an iron that I would use!
I IRON EVERY SINGLE DAY!
Only when I can no longer avoid it.
Honestly, once a month or less.
How often do I iron my clothes? Not that often. How often do I use an iron? Quite often! Crafting, you see.
Squirt! Squirt!
Using an old 20 lb., Black & Decker hand-me-down from Grandma, I MUST iron at least 4 times a week.
My clothes and arm deserve better.
I don't iron my clothes. I am a firm believer in the hot-from- the -dryer snap, hang and call it a day school of thought.
The exception (and where I would need this iron) is for certain dressier clothes that don't snap so well.
Actually, since I've moved to AZ I haven't used an iron once. It's so maddeningly casual out here! But I'd still like to have a fancy, schmancy one.
Once a week and even that is still not enough time to get all the clothes that need to be iron done.
my iron burned my clothes so i got rid of it. a new one would be lovely.
I iron my clothes every morning..I'm a terrible folder and don't have enough closet space to hang everything up. I also sew, so I'm ironing for days..
only when the clothes are so wrinkled that you can't even distinguish what piece of clothing it is...
iron? we can't!! (our beloved iron has croaked) so we clip something heavy at the end of it and hang it inside the bathroom when we shower. it's a toss up every time weather it works.
It used to be once a week --- but I've kind slacked off and now it seems like I have to iron something every morning!
never. but maybe i could learn?
Once a week, but I usually change my mind and end up having to iron a whole new set during the week
I don't iron my clothes much anymore, I'm trying to really work on this whole "natural" look, but I still live with my parents and my dad has the habit of ironing his clothes for the week on sunday evenings. I find it endearing.
Maybe once every couple of weeks. Sadly, I opt for the extra 10 minutes of sleep in the morning and deal with the wrinkled clothes.
Clothes, no (and I probably should), but fabric, yes!
I loathe wrinkles and could really use 400 steamy holes of amazingness.
About once or twice a week, frantically before I leave for work. And I HATE my current iron, which is too light and doesn't get hot enough. So I need this iron.
pick me! pick me!
probably 4x a week. i never iron everything at once, only when i need it.
Every day except Saturday.
Sadly, I have to iron my shirts every day before I go to work. This typically happens before my first cup of coffee and is sometimes accompanied by lots of frustration and profanity.
At least 3x/week, depending on the condition of the clothes. I also iron my hubby's shirts. He doesn't care if they're wrinkled but I can't stand it!
For myself, it's hardly ever. But I do help with ironing my boyfriend's clothes every week.
I'm economizing by not sending shirts out to be laundered. I iron on a semi-weekly basis.
Rarely, but I've only just gotten shirts and pants that need to be ironed. I'm a big boy now!
I worked in a theater costume shop, and loved ironing with the industrial irons there - it was like therapy seeing those wrinkles disappear! I bet that with this iron I will get that same pleasure from ironing. Now, I try to avoid ironing with my budget iron as much as possible.
OOOOO I need an iron!
My ex-boyfriend decided that it was a good idea to take ours (read: mine) to the sail loft he runs to use on sails with industrial glue. Needless to say, its a goner!
I hate ironing (worst chore ever), but I have a load to do every 2 weeks. I handwash all my "dry clean only" clothes and they need to be ironed or steamed to get all the wrinkles out.
We iron about twice a week. When you say itâs recommended by your friends in the fashion industry, does that mean youâve seen your favorite designers using it on Project Runway?

Why does the comment box at AT always have a problem with copy 'n paste apostrophes?
I'm in a fashion program so I iron DAILY! My iron at home sucks, so I always have to trek to school to use theirs anytime I'm working on a piece. This iron would be a life saver!
Being a general manager of a restaurant, my partner has to look clean and pulled together. So he irons every day, and he's gone through two irons in the past five years.
The last iron I bought for him has a stainless steel surface. Alas, the stainless steel has been stained, and so has our trust. Perhaps this one will renew our faith?
I usually have to break out the ironing board & iron about once every two weeks...when I run out of clean dress shirts and have to launder a few to hold me over until I can get to the dry cleaners.
Um, I own almost nothing that needs to be ironed. I do steam things a lot though.
What I really need a good iron for is my sewing!
Ironing...as little as possible. Whatever I can get away with goes off to the dry cleaners. The rest I do begrudgingly because I hate wrinkles more than I hate ironing.
I iron my clothes about twice a month...but I am an avid crafter and if you sew, ironing is a big part of the process!
I iron a lot of fabric for my quilts!
I iron 2 or 3 times a week. This looks like a terrific iron!
once and a while when somthing is real wrinkled but i need to more often.:)
Because I don't have the greatest iron in the world, I usually only iron my clothes for special occasions. Bet if I owned this iron I would use it much more often. I love crisply pressed clothes.
All the time. I am a law student about to embark on weeks upon weeks of interviews in hope for a job. I cant get my dress shirts and suits pressed regularly and the iron I have right now is not doing the greatest job. Its from the 90s.
Great iron! I iron whenever I need too. Thanks for the contest!!!
I spend about 2 hours every Sunday afternoon doing the weekly ironing for my husband's work clothes, ( he wears business casual) and also for my work clothes, I dont have to dress up but do wear nice tops with jeans that I iron and my iron is on its last leg, the steam part broke awhile ago, and I have to use a mist bottle to spray my clothes and I really would love to win this contest, its such a great prize and very useful too, thanks for the chance to enter, Good luck to all
I might fall in love with this iron if it were to come into my life. I am already head over heels for my canister miele that I got for christmas. I live in a tiny tiny apartment with a teensy closet so more often then not my clothes end up on the floor or chair or bottom of my closet. Short answer: Every day. I iron every day.
Every day. I find ironing oddly satisfying...I think because I can see immediate results. I can't imagine how much fun I'd have, if I actually had a nice iron.
I iron about once every 4 months. This iron looks like a great one!
i used to pay 75 cents per item to a lady to do my ironing. and take pants to cleaners. but with money so tight i am doing the ironing, i wash on delicate cycle and hang dry his pants and shirts. i also now am ironing t-shirts. i like the way they come out so nice. i am saving paying some else to do it. plus i do a lot of thinking and also am creating ideas for projects. i weld and do woodwork and reupholster. i listen to music and it is very relaxing to me. i have even thought on taking on some clients in my neighborhood. so a good iron would be a good incentive to do so and bring in some revenue.
thank you for listening to me.
hiflapper1@verizon.net
I iron on as as-needed basis
Wow its wild that no one irons anymore. Im a guy and I iron nearly every other day. I like a good crisp shirt. Usually with some light starch. I know, I know... people tell me to go to the dry cleaners. But I feel that's too harsh on my shirts. Anyways. That's my entry. I hope I win. I'd love that iron.
not often enough... generally about 15 minutes before i have to run out.
I've been wearing wash 'n wear so I don't have to iron at all, but with one like this I might actually like to :) *Thanks* for the giveaway!
i iron my clothes weekly due to the fact it's easier like that to just iron everything for the week.
I'm in Finance, so that's a daily for me!
I iron once a week, Usually Saturday afternoon.
I don't iron my clothes very often, but I sew, thus I iron fabric I'm working with all the time. A good press is so key to good sewing and good quilting, and my current iron sucks, so this would be nice.
I iron my clothes right after I decide what I will be wearing.
Iron? I iron EVERYDAY! I am completely wrinkle adverse (medical term) and I find the whole process cathartic and relaxing...I even re-iron clothes that come from the cleaners. I so need this iron.
what... once a year... or so...
Once a week, i love cotton shirts but they wrinkle very badly
I iron everyday...my clothes and my two boys' clothes. I don't iron my husbands's clothes because I believe that would be taking that domestic thing WAYYYY to far. :)
i iron about once a week when I do laundry. I have lots of cute cloth napkins that I like nice and smooth.
I don't iron my clothes, but my girlfriend does =)
I used to never iron anything, but my boyfriend's gotten me into ironing. It's happening about once a week, sometimes twice!
I iron once a month right now, but I shall soon get a job an iron at least once a week. I can't stand messy looking work clothes.
I iron as needed. Which is almost everyday, because I hate to fold clothes - so everything is wrinkled.
I iron weekly or when needed!
I iron a few pieces of clothing a week. I pull out my iron much more frequently for sewing/quilting projects than I do for laundry. I used to own a beautiful Rowenta; which is one of those rare items that is just as good as advertised. We had some flooding in our basement and it was ruined. Thanks for a giveaway that reminds me of my old friend.
I iron my clothes if I need to, but I iron alot when I sew. I haven't used anything but a Rowenta iron for over 15 years.
I iron whenever my clothes need it.
wow awesome prize. I iron a few times a month actually, this would come in handy.
As little as possible
My closet is small, so I iron what I'm going to wear to work that morning.. and I never know what I'm going to wear until that morning... so, I iron every day, except Sat/Sun (unless I have to work of course).
I hate ironing and I let it pile up until i have no other option but to iron. I'd love to be wealthy enough to take everything to the dry cleaner. I use a regular iron and board. It would be wonderful to have a great iron to curse at and hopefully make my task easier and more efficient.
Once a month.
i don't really iron my clothes unless it's really necessary. i don't mind a few wrinkles here and there...
I never leave my house unless my clothes are ironed. I always ironed the children's clothes before they went to school each day. But unfortunately, my ironing gene was not passed on to my children. I was ironing the other day and my granddaughter asked me what I was doing. She had never seen an iron before, much less someone actually ironing. Where did I go wrong with them?
I iron only when necessary, but I do sew and use an iron a lot for that. Rowenta is the absolute best.
I am a neat freak and iron at least once a week. I even iron my pillow cases and flat sheets because I find sleeping in wrinkled bed linens uncomfortable. I am probably too obsessive but thats just me. I even iron my tee shirts, I just hate wrinkles.
This looks like a very nice iron that you are giving away.
I iron every week. I iron a lot! This would be just wonderful!
I iron most all my clother and my two little girls too.
Thanks what a neat iron would love this.
I iron workshirts daily...with an awful iron! Why are they so expensive?
Thank you so much for this wonderful giveaway. I would so love to win this awesome Iron. I do the ironing for my faming and I weekly. It's basically my early Saturday morning job. I know I'm crazy, but I find Ironing relaxing and don't really mind it, except for my time constraints which only leaves me Saturday mornings to iron.
Thank you again for this really great giveaway and please enter me.
I iron every time I do laundry. Guess I'm just old school
I only iron when really pressed to. LOL! Pun intended!
Seriously, I think this iron might encourage me to touch up those jeans and cotton shirts that never look as sharp as they should.
I iron only when necessary. Sometimes clothes will have a wrinkle right out of the dry cleaning bag. Mostly if I do laundry and the item looks wrinkled out of the dryer I will make a pile and do them all at once. Thanks for the contest!
When it's absolutely necessary. This iron would sure make it more fun.
I iron quarterly per year unless there is something urgent needed. This might help me stay on top of the ironing pile!!
I actually enjoy ironing which is good because my sheets are not permanent press (my choice,) however I think I must have some deeply hidden resentment because I've dropped my now ancient Rowenta several times and although it still works, it's time for a new one. I might add that Rowenta's are amazing. Mine is a reconditioned one that I bought at a job lot and the main reason I need a new one is not because I've dropped it but because I've destroyed the sole plate by using it to iron on wood edgebanding
I like the way things look when they are ironed. I usually iron every other day. I like to keep up with the ironing and not have it built up. I even iron my cotton sheets.
I hardly ever iron but my jeans and t-shirt wardrobe rarely needs it. My 16 year old daughter/fashion maven is the queen of ironing, she even takes in her older brothers ironing and charges him a small fortune to iron for him!
I dont even have an iron...lol I need one badly. Someone will have to teach me how to use it!!
At least 3 times a week I pull out the old iron, but I usually just iron a peice at a time when needed. Thanks for such a great giveaway!
Every morning before I put on my clothes, I stand naked at the ironing board hoping my roomate doesn't wake up and bust me. It's my daily excitement and this iron would make it 10x more exciting.
I iron all the time. All the time. ...well, not as often as i should, but I think this would be a ton more effective.
I only iron right before I put on the piece that needs ironing. I love the look of crisp newly ironed clothing.
i iron every time i do laundry which is probably once a week to one every other week. i try to stay away from clothes that need ironing, but sometimes there's nothing better looking than a crisp white (or any other colored) shirt!
I used to iron a lot(even ironed underwear!) but lately I have gotten lazy and only iron when I am going somewhere special. This looks like a really high quality one.
Only when I haven't pulled some items out of the dryer right away ;)
i iron my clothes all the time (3-4 times a week) because of work and occasionally my husband's when he's too lazy to do it himself. my iron sucks though =(
I only iron when I have to but I have a crappy iron so if you have a nice one it might be easier.
I iron my husband's work shirt and slacks every night, so I could really use this iron to speed it up and make his clothes look even better.
I no longer iron my clothes, since I broke my iron. But when I did iron, I did it about once a week, when I did the laundry.
About once a week, but my iron leaves brown marks on my clothes so I have to iron them inside out
Everyday but I need a new iron bad!
once in a blue moon.
I try to purchase clothes made of materials that don't need to be ironed, but, alas, linen and cotton just have to be. I don't iron often, but when I do, I'd like the best iron available
I rarely iron my own clothes but I have to iron my husbands work clothes several times a week (whenever I do laundry)
I iron as seldom as possible, but still own a board. I know younger ATs' don't even go there.
i iron at least twice a week. thee iron i have ,my mother gave me. it's at least 20 yrs old.
thanks for the opportunity to have a new one.
my iron definitely dribbles out water!
Last friday I spent about 3 hours ironing a stack of shirts. I iron about twice a month, but I usually do several hours (and many, many outfits) at a time. One session will be pants and skrts, the next shirts. I also iron my pillowcases, because they are nice embroidered ones. My current iron is one my fiance bought - very lightweight and cheap. I've been looking to trade up.
I almost never iron clothes because my iron is cheap and terrible. But I do like to indulge myself sometimes by ironing sheets . . . nothing feels as good as smooth, sleek bedlinens . . . especially if you sleep, uh . . . au naturel. :-)
not often because I have an old iron
I iron every day!!! I HATE wrinkled clothes!!!!
I don't iron much because my iron is bad. But if I had this one.....
We rarely iron, because when we do it can take ages to get wrinkles out with our dripping, hand-me-down iron. Thankfully my husband works in a very laid back environment, because he is famous for his wrinkly shirts.
I really could use a new great iron like this one!
Not very often,I hate the iron I have.
I like my clothes press but I hate my iron
i hate ironing with a passion but its mostly because i've got a crappy iron. so i tend to avoid it and so the clothes that need ironed just hang in the closet.
I always ironmy clothes, but would love tohave a better iron
I sew quite often and always iron and steam the seams down, this would be a real saver to me.
Not very often
THANK YOU GOD BLESS
I do not currently own an iron. If it doesn't fluff out in the dryer than it is wrinkled.
Never, I don't own an iron.
Not too often, mostly for crafts and such. I will be getting my interior design internship next summer, and I just bought my first suit, so that might change.
I don't like ironing, but I like how clothes look when their ironed! So I usually iron once a week, otherwise it really becomes a pain with sooo much to iron. Not to bad when you only have 4 or 5 shirts. But, I think with a Rowenta Iron the task would be so much easier. Thank You!!
I iron every morning before work. It's the WORST chore to me, so the thought of ironing a pile of clothes all at once (like my mom used to do) makes me shiver! I hate wrinkles, so the thought of not ironing, like some of those above, is not an option for me. I would love to win this!
I iron only when absolutely necessary... sometimes I cheat and use wrinkle release spray.
I iron almost every morning before work and school. I purposely choose an outfit that does not need ironing until I run out. Then I am left with ironing everyday :(
We're always ironing in a hurry, last minute stuff.
I iron daily while I am back home from college but when I'm away I do the ironing on Sunday nights so I have clothes for the entire week ready! I also, iron my mum's scrubs for work so she has more time to relax and iron my dad's work clothes for his second job. Our nice steam type iron broke a long time ago and we just replaced it with a $5 iron from Wally Martinez (wal-mart). lol
Um - isn't that why we have dry cleaners? ;) I would love to have an iron that actually works - ours is so old I'm not even sure why we're hanging onto it still. I <3 Rowenta Irons
I iron clothes about once a month. I'm a stay at home mom, so my clothes don't need much ironing:-). Mostly, it's my husband's work shirts. Great giveaway! Thanks!
I iron about once a week, but my current iron is a piece of *%&$*#$
I don't iron very much, but when I do, my iron leaks water all over my clothes!
I iron about once a week, I hate it so it tends to pile up. thanks for the chance.
Very Rarely!
never! but if i had one, i would!!
I have to iron once a week or so, but can't now, because my 20 year old iron won't get hot anymore.
I really need this!
I absolutely hate to iron, but end up having to so will do whatever I'm wearing to work that day as soon as I get up. If I could find some way around not having to do it at all I would, but don't see that in the near future.
Uhhh once a month? If they're lucky..
I iron about once a month and I actually don't mind it; but I'm sure I'd like it a lot more with this baby. Thank you for giving me a chance to replace my ancient iron!
When I was a kid I was in charge of the family ironing, and spent several afternoons a week working on it. Thank goodness those days are over. Now, I wear permanent press for the most part. However, I love natural fabrics, like silk and linen, and I also like rayon, so sometimes an iron comes in handy.
omg our iron just broke! And it was expensive and a wedding gift. My husband is having a panic attack about it.
I am LAZY and I iron on the floor!
Nothing sweeter than a fanatstic iron for wrinkles you can do something about- I iron about once a week- a zen type of experience when it's a good iron. I would love this and so would my vintage and antique linens- pretty, pretty please.
I iron every morning!! I also iron everything I sew - so I really put a lot of "mileage" on my cheap-o iron!
I love to iron and watch old movies but I hardly have the time to indulge. Mostly, I iron things as needed.
Not very often but I ask my boyfriend to iron something each night.
I iron every day, even if it's just the clothes I'm hanging around the house in. I just can't bring myself to wear wrinkled clothes under any circumstance. God forbid somone sees me in clothes that look like I slept in them.
about once a week and when I sew...
i want this iron!!!
I iron when sewing; to press seams... about once a week
um, i want this iron!!! AND i use my iron CONSTANTLY. every other day. would use *this* iron every day.
I avoid ironing my clothes unless I have to, because it's such a pain! A good tool might make it easier...
Every Single day....But I have such a lousy iron its not making much of difference even if I iron....Thats why I really really need this!!
I iron probably every other day or so. Maybe more often if I had such a nice iron!
i use my iron every sunday (aka "laundry day")
I love bo have a good iron
I iron about once a week. My current iron is terrible... it sticks to everything.
I iron in the mornings before work - only if I have to.....because my husband overfilled the iron (which WAS awesome...) and now it spits hot water out all over the place....
I iron as little as possible.
But I hear that Rowenta makes a terrible iron.
I should have previewed that comment. I meant to say Terrific.
I have a love/hate relationship with ironing.
I love the look of a crisp shirt, but hate the hassle that comes with it. Still, there are times when simply throwing on a T-shirt and jeans can't do and that's when, like it or not, I have to just plug it in and iron my heart out while singing show tunes... er... ignore that last bit, kay?
i dont iron much.. i dont care for the fuss of must iron clothes. alllthough, i am planning on sewing a set of curtains for each room in my home. id love to have this iron for the job. :)
I never iron my everyday clothes (even when I should), but I use my crappy thrift-store iron constantly for sewing projects.
I iron whenever I do wash. About once a week, or every other week.
I don't iron my clothes very often, but I iron fabrics every time I turn on my sewing machine (all the time).
I try not to buy clothes that require ironing, and when my clothes do need to be flattened, I put them in the bathroom while showering. So I iron maybe...once every 6 months.
I absolutely hate ironing, so I don't iron unless I have to. Maybe if I get a new one (hint, hint) I will iron more often. Thanx for the contest.
once in a blue moon
I iron about once a week.......I don't like the way wrinkled clothing feels.......strange, huh?
Probably iron clothes once a month.
Since my husband bought me a full-sized ironing board, ironing is my most favoritest of all the things to do, ever!!
Right before I need to, so, probably every other week.
never iron because I do not have a good iron
Yey! I like my iron, but something better would surely be appreciated.
I iron maybe once a week, only if I have to because my iron is so old
When I was a college student, I never iron my clothes. Now that I ahve started working, I iron about once a week. And sometimes I iron my futon to straighten out the fabric :)
If given sufficient time, I loooove to iron. It's just it can take me 15 minutes to perfectly press an oxford cloth shirt.
Soooo, I tend to iron about twice a week...
I sew a lot and I am also a clothes ironing fiend - my old Rowenta is on the verge of collapse after quite a few years. My dream is a whole room just for laundry and ironing!
I love to iron and do it whenever needed, which is quiet often. Ironing puts me in my "special zen place". Ahhh! Instant perfection!
i need an iron anyway...
I wear a uniform, and I iron my work shirts every week. This would be a great help for my weekly ironing! Thanks for offering this!
I iron daily and have a Rowenta iron, love it but it is on its 'last leg' so I really really need this!
Iron away.
Never I don't own one!!
I make it a point to rarely or never iron clothes. If it's not permanent press I don't buy it. But my SO does iron on a daily basis, so I'd give this to him. LOL
My wife hates to iron, so she doesn't. I iron about once a week. I do my shirts and some of hers.
Yeah for ironing once a week! it saves energy & i love to wear my clothes crisp and sharp.
Me, almost never. My husband irons his shirts everyday.
I iron once a week after the laundry has been done. I like to have my boyfriend in crisp wrinkle free shirts.
Ugh, our iron is so crappy I try to iron as infrequently as possible! If we had a better iron -- nudge, nudge -- I'm sure I would make it more of a habit :)
Not very often.
I'd iron every day, and maybe even pull out the sewing machine if I currently owned an iron. For now, we hang clothes in the bathroom while taking a hot shower, and only when absolutely necessary!
I iron about once every other week.
Almost never anymore, but that iron would make it a lot more fun! Thanks for the giveaway!
only rarely, because my iron is old and leaky... downy wrinkle release has become my good friend, sadly. If I had a nice iron, I would use it!
That iron would awesome for my sewing projects. Wow.
I rarely iron. I don't have a good iron. Instead, I use the drycleaners. This would be sooo cool to have and use.
My sister bought this iron and says she now can't find enough clothes to iron she enjoys the iron so much. This is the sister that hardly ever ironed her clothes.
I am ALL OVER this giveaway--I actually iron my family's clothes after every time I wash-- I love to iron--I get to watch TV while doing so and I like the effect of getting the wrinkles out and making the shirts nice and crisp looking!
just when they are wrinkled!
as little as neccessary!
I iron my clothes before an important event when I really want to look good.
I iron as I need to which can be almost every day in the summer with all the 100% cotton clothes!!
cjnedrow@gmail.com
My last iron got rusted- that's how often I iron. But this is a beauty!
You can iron clothes? Wow, learn something everyday. And I thought wrinkles were part of the design.
I iron mine and my husbands clothes everyday before we get dressed. My iron has had it and I was just thinking I needed a nice new iron. If you pick me believe me that iron will be well used and appreciated! Thanks.
After taking clothes out of the dryer, so 3 or 4 times a week. I iron almost everything, even t-shirts and jeans.
I iron EVERYDAY!! I do the bulk once a week, but, I like to touch up my clothes the morning before going to work. I guess Iâm just old fashion, or a clothes neat freak?!
I only iron when I have to. Maybe I would iron more often is I had a wonderful iron like this one. I like all of the great features.
Thanks for the nice giveaway.
I iron everyday. I wear uniforms and taking them out of the dryer just doesn't work. I hate wrinkled clothes.
I'm not a big fan of folding (although draping over things isn't so bad). As a result, my clothes tend to need ironing before I wear them on a daily basis.
Occaisionally . . . extremely occaisionally
every week with the laundry
I iron nearly everyday as well. Even if you use the dryer and fold right away before hanging or stacking, many things just don't look right when you actually want to wear them. Lucky for me, I have been borrowing an iron from my sister who doesn't mind wrinkles (my old iron took a leap from the board a couple of months ago...) Sometimes hers gives me some sketchy water marks though. A new one would be fantastic
[By the way, did anyone else grow up getting their jeans creased? I've dropped that, but I can't stop at least getting wrinkles out on most pairs.]
I guess I iron about once every two weeks or so. I should probably do it more often... dang those 100% cotton sheets and their rumples...
I never iron my clothes.
But I do plan to sew a quilt, and need an iron for it.
If the quilting thing doesn't work out for me, I'll donate it to the Lincoln Costume Institute for use in making theatrical costumes.
i dont iron anything. but my poor wife has to iron her uniform every morning
Only when absolutely necessary and just before I need to wear it.
I have no iron, thus I am wrinkled... :(
Oh, Boy!
Will be putting up new drapes that have been laying around - getting WRINKLED! - for a long time!
I sure could use a new iron that'd be fast and efficient! This looks like just what I need.
Clothes are ironed on an as-needed basis. But since I've been sewing more, it would be great to have an iron like this.
Me? Almost never. But my husband is a veteran of the Navy so takes his ironing quite seriously. We currently have a Rowenta with way too much mileage on it. We both would love to replace it with this newer model.
I iron about once a month, depending on the reason. For example, I always iron my business clothes -- I just don't have to wear them too often (thank goodness!).
Though I don't like it, I iron every day with a lousy, cheap iron. I really would love an iron that makes my life easier. Go Rowenta!
I iron what is needed for the day every morning
I don't iron nearly as often as I should. But then, my iron is older than I am and a total pain so a new one might change all that...
Iron clothes? Almost never, but I quilt and a good iron is essential. Thanks.
I iron only if I have to wear something and it's wrinkled and that goes the same for the rest of the family. I hate wrinkles! This would be so great to have.
when i bought some fragranced linen water, i got on an ironing kick for about a month. these days? when i need, which translates to about once every 15 weeks...
I iron only once or twice a week.
my kids love to look good and my husband loves his shirts starched and pressed! Several times a week, plus for sewing!
I iron about every other week, but last week I left my iron out while at work and my misbehaving cats knocked it over and broke it! I really, really need a new one!
if i had this iron i definitely would iron every week.
I need it daily
I iron once a month
about once each week.
I currently don't iron. My bunny chewed through the cord of my iron and I have yet to replace it. This would be a super cool thing to win cuz I need it! Sometimes just throwing stuff in the dryer just doesn't cut it.
I iron every week. My statuesque 4' 15" frame looks even taller when my slacks have a crease.
Left to my own devices, I iron about once or twice a month (mostly when I feel inclined or have time to help iron my husband's button-down shirts and slacks). His preference is for a "just-in-time" ironing of his outfit, done in the morning right before he puts it on, which means he's at the ironing board three or four days a week.
once a week
Weekly
About once a month or sometimes twice I force myself. I really hate to iron. I think if I had a better place to iron and keep a board set up and a nicer iron I would do it more often. I try to avoid buying clothes that I know will have to be ironed.
I iron about once a week, and I absolutely dread it. I am sure I would iron with a smile if I won this awesome iron!
With this iron, daily!
Probably not enough. But like everyone else who wouldn't mind a $175 iron, that could change.
Almost every weekend I put in an hour or two of ironing. Have to do it else my office outfits will not be at standards for my work. This item would probably help..some.
I save it up and then iron while there's something on TV that I want to watch -- football game, etc.
I work in a casual environment, but let's face it, every once in awhile you need something touched up. So I iron just every once in awhile, when something I want to wears needs to be pressed.
This looks like a wonderful iron! Thanks for the giveaway!
I iron once a month.
Once a week, after doing laundry.
Iron? Aren't you just supposed to hang your clothes in the bathroom while you shower and hope the wrinkles fall out? I think I have my mom's old iron (somewhere) but it must be 40 years old!
Not nearly enough! With 4 children, I am lucky to get the clothes washed, let alone ironed! Besides, doesn't holding a wiggly baby get the wrinkles out anyway?
I iron too much. Maybe if I win this iron. Iwill enjoy ironing.
Hardly ever anymore, my iron got gummed up, so we're wrinkly.
Wow, awesome iron!
I don't iron very frequently,
maybe 3-4 times per month,
but this one would help a lot, nevertheless!
Thanks :)
How cool! I need to break my liquid wrinkle releaser habit!
I iron at least every other day. My husband loves the crisp look you can get only by ironing.
I iron several times a week. I like our clothes to look nice. My iron is ancient. My friend has a Rowenta...and she raves about the job it does.
I do laundry and a bit of ironing everyday! I like my family looking their best! This iron looks like a dream come true! It would my the task a fast one!
NEVER because I can't afford to buy a decent iron! I usually steam every outfit I plan on wearing that day while I am showering, but I work as a freelancer from home so I usually don't change out of my "frump" no-need-for-ironing clothes during the work-week.
Believe me, I dream of one day owning a Rowenta iron!
I iron everyday, because my all my clothes are always wrinkled.
A couple times a week.
Once a week.
I rarely iron my clothes. But I like to imagine that someday I will be the kind of girl who who includes ironing in a weekly routine...
I iron as needed, usually 2 or 3 times a week.
I get the iron out when the family needs to dress up for a special occasion. I also always take one on facations with us in case our clothes get wrinkled in transit.
Thanks for the giveaway!
I iron as little as possible but my Mother and my brother iron daily. They never wear anything unless they have ironed it first. So of course I slip my clothes into their things as often as I can get away with so they iron them for me.
Sigh! I still iron almost everything including even the sheets & pillow cases.
Seldomly!
I iron clothes as I need to, but alot when I sew. I've used only Rowenta for over 15 years and love it!
I don't iron. My husband does it as I work full time.
I don't own an iron but it sounds like what I need to put my wrinkles in their place.
I am not good at ironing but my hubbie swears by Rowenta.
I don't iron, but I might with an iron like this.
It would definitely be greener than running my dryer to get the wrinkles out.
I iron something when I want to wear it. On the rare occasion, I'll "iron ahead".
instead of ironing everything at once (because my iron makes it such a chore) I usually iron almost daily .
THANKS FOR THIS GREAT CONTEST!
I iron every couple weeks.
I iron once a week I LOVE it, it's very therapeutic.
Even though I always say ironing is against my religion, I just might start if this was my iron.
I rarely iron. Most of my clothes are wrinkle free and if they are not, there is Downy wrinkle spray. But I might change my mind, this iron looks cool.
I only iron when I'm going out on the weekends or for work during the school year, no need to in summer because I wear jeans and a work shirt.
I don't iron real often since I dress casual at work, maybe once a month, but I will be job hunting soon again so I would like a good iron to get that professional look.
I rarely iron, but that's because my iron is old and tired. A new iron would help a lot...
After my niece moved out I have not been able to find my Rowenta iron. Funny enough I was able to find her $20 iron.
Every morning during the weekday and its terrible. I never thought there was a real difference between irons until I read this article though.
I should be ironing more ofter, but the iron I use now is a pain...I bought it in a pinch at Walgreens for $9.99.
About twice a week. Sometimes I'll get a lot done and only do ironing once a week.
Only when I have a special event to attend. The dress code where I work is very lax. :)
When ever my girlfriend says "Your not going out like that?"
Thanks for the chance!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rowenta irons are the best and i love to iron, because i quilt but i don't iron clothes that often.
my circa 1982 iron is nearing the end of its long life. time for a replacement. this could be it!
Maybe once a month because my iron doesn't work! It works per se, it just doesn't get wrinkles out! So weird, I just iron and iron and very little difference - ugh!
When I have the right iron I love to iron. To answer the question, usually once or twice a week, depends how many cotton shirts got washed!
I iron clothes to wear each day I have to go in the office. None of the iron before for me, it's always last minute. Today I washed curtains and ironed them and discovered the steam feature on my iron isn't working. Great timing if I won. Thanks.
I just went back to work, so I iron every couple of days. This would be lovely. Thanks
If I admit how much I iron, I will have to go back to Ironer Anonymous. I love to iron! I do it everyday, sometimes twice a day.
I iron for funerals, weddings, and church.
I iron 3-4 times a week.
I iron five days a week. My work outfits and my husbands' suits.
I iron abt once every 2 weeks when I'm sewing something - I'd rather fold and press than pin when I sew
workdays - five days a week
Weekly ironing here.
Once every three weeks.
Pick me. Pick me.
Because I cannot bear the thought of having dry cleaning chemicals touch my precious son's body, I iron all of his clothes. At first it was just the dressy clothes but now I even iron his cartoon character t-shirts.
I iron all the time - crisp white cotton sheets having dried outside in the sunshine and then ironed is a great luxury we can do for ourselves.
I have to admit that I iron clothes twice a week. Although most of the clothes I own as well as my husband's and childrens are wrinkle free, I live in the South, where high humidity is a daily occurence. I love the way freshly cleaned ironed clothes smell and it gives me a feeling of accomplishment, even though I know that is kind of old fashioned. Thank you so much for this contest!
I iron about once a week trying to iron everthing I think I'll need for the week. I'd love to win a new iron to make this chore easier!
I really need a new iron for my quilts I make. This would be perfect! :)
I enter my work clothing daily.
My husband and I are both ironing fans. We both like to wear nice clothes for work - and that means serious ironing because we like to keep dry cleaning to a minimum. Occasionally, I'll iron linens and such for hours just because it is relaxing.
Dry cleaners cost way too much money. What was good for my Mother is good for me.
I iron two times a week. (Wednesday and Sunday)
I iron once a week when I do laundry.
i do a mass ironing once a week for whatever i know i'll wear that way i dont have to do it when im rushing to get ready for work
Ironing is a weekly chore. I iron my husbands work shirts and my nursing uniforms while watching a non-kid friendly movie.
I iron once a week ~ especially since linen season is here!
Iron what's that?
I have a fascination with new gadgets and for some strange reason I have always loved to iron everything-would love this new iron!!
I iron daily â After I take a shower I pick out what I want to wear and head over to the AC (during the summer) so I wont get sweaty ironing and so my clothes wont be hot. Its literally the only time I use the AC! Heheheâ¦Its also the best time in the morning to reflect on my day ahead and prepare myself mentally (gaw, I'm corny but people rely on me being relaxed and "cool" at work).
weekly :)
I iron about once a week.
I iron only when Law & Order is on so that way I iron for at least an hour.
these days, not very often since my iron is terrible!
sometimes but not very often
I iron at least a couple times a week and my iron is horrible!!!
Never, our iron broke. How can I be a housewife and mother without an iron???
at least once a week.. Hate every second of it.
I iron twice a week, it would be great to have a nice iron to iron with, instead of the piece of junk that I have to use now.
I iron my clothes very infrequently (though I'm sure this would change were I the owner of this fabulous contraption). But I do iron fabric for sewing projects...which this would also be fabulous for!
if i had an iron i would be able to
I iron everyday. I think appearance is very important and I like my family to look neat when they leave the house
Very, very seldom. I probably iron more for the rest of my family put together, than myself.
I love this iron!
I iron most of shirts, tablecloths, and some bedding. Things are just nicer when they're crisp!
I iron several time a month, mostly 100% cotton items.
I never iron anymore, since the stinky gunk got on the bottom of my iron and it started hissing at me all the time. I chose wrinkles over being electrocuted. I just made the mistake of washing my curtains and now they're too wrinkled to hang back up, so I guess I have to buy a new one...unless I win this one, which would be awesome.
I iron after each wash. Raised in the old school of crisp lines on the pants and collars folded and ironed that is me. Could always use a power iron to keep me looking old school and neat. Great prize!!
I have to iron my husband's shirts and suits for work everyday. My iron is so junky that sometimes it spews water filled with burned starch all over the white shirt when I am almost done with it. GRRR! This looks like a very fancy iron that wouldn't do that to me.
I iron whenever something is really wrinkled and also for dress-up times.
I iron all my clothes - and I iron once a week
Hello! I actually enjoy ironing! I find it relaxing and therapeutic! I iron once a week. I have it down to a system in terms of how I do our family laundry. I usually have about a dozen items at a time to iron, sometimes a few more, and I like to do it all at once instead of piece by piece as I need them. If we have some special occasion come up where I need to iron something specific for it, then I will do so, but prefer to do it all at once. I would love to own this fabulous Rowenta Advancer Iron. It is always nice to use state of the art products on jobs that you do on a regular basis. Thank you for this terrific giveaway!
I usually iron once a year, summer golf shirts. thanks goodness he has enough to last the summer LOL
Hi! ~ I iron whenever I see wrinkles in my clothes. My most challenging ironing problems are table cloths and communion/alter cloths from church. These fabrics are made of linen and hold wrinkles and the fabric twists. Hard to iron! I would love this win! Thanks!
About once a week I iron. I absolutely HATE it, but it has to be done!
I confess I let it pile up until I HAVE to iron....and I hate it, this iron would likely make it more tolerable.
I iron 3 times a week, for a total of about 5 hours a week. I have yet to find the perfect iron. This one looks really good though!
In all honesty, I iron my clothes as little as possible. Anything that makes it a little easier would be greatly appreciated.
Things are better than in the old days. Mom used to iron once a week. I do it once a month maybe and then only if needed beyond help.
Ironing is part of my morning ritual.
I have to iron my husband's work shirts and dress pants every time I wash them. Occasionally I do touch-ups on my clothes, but not usually.
I don't own an iron. It broke and I never replaced it so I usually toss my clothes in the dryer to remove wrinkles. For more delicate clothes I use my steamer but I opt not to wear those closes too often as it's a pain to use the steamer!
My husband irons every single day, he's a bit obsessive compulsive about not having wrinkled clothes. I iron usually once or twice a week.
I try to iron every day (although I do not quite do it every day)
I iron every couple of days. All cotton shirts need it
I have to a couple times a week.
I don't iron, I use a steamer because I'd probably burn something with a hot iron
not often.
I iron or steam my scrubs every work day, they have to be crisp or I'll get in trouble.
I iron daily , i wear scrubs to work and i can't stand a wrinke to be on me!
Rowenta makes ironing easier...but still...
My husband is in the military so he irons everyday
I hardly ever iron. Maybe if I had a good iron I would actually want to iron my clothes. The way it is now, my clothes look worse when I do iron them.
I Iron everyday. My dryer just wrinkles my clothes and I hate them!
Maybe six times in a year, if I had this nice iron it would be alot more.
I Iron nearly everyday. Recently however my iron has started spitting rust at my clothes so I have given it a bit of a summer vacation.
I don't iron the jeans I wear to work daily but I do iron the tops. I mostly use my iron for my quilting and a new heavy duty would really make things much easier.
nice iron! weekly
I iron as little as possible, but when I do, a good iron is irreplaceable.
I iron about 1-2 times per week, but with a good Rowenta iron, I'd press clothes virtually every day. It would be terrific to have an iron that doesn't leak like a sieve!
1 a week
As needed, which is almost daily.
I iron everything!! This would be a fantastic win!! Thanks so much!!
Maybe once a month. I don't need to iron scrubs. I would iron more if I had a good iron.
I hate ironing cause I have a cheap iron and it barely works. This would make me iron more.
I dislike ironing. Neither my husband or I have jobs where we have to dress in business attire, so I usually only iron when we are going to a wedding, funeral etc...
I know this sounds weird but I enjoy ironing. Something about smelling fresh clean clothes. So I usually iron once or twice a week especially in the summer. I wear alot of cotton clothes and they need ironing most of the time.
Once a week I iron my pants for work. It is so much easier to do them all at once than one pair a day! Thank you for this giveaway!
I iron my shirt this morning and usually spend the weekend ironing. I must look well pressed.
I do not iron as often as I should.
I put off ironing until we having nothing left that isn't wrinkled. After 4 kids ironing after every load of laundry kind of flies out the window. It doesn't help that I have a crummy iron and it takes forever.
If you saw my blouse today, you wouldn't ask. I tried to iron it, but still look like a wrinkled mess. Please help!
Oh, and thank you for sponsoring such a cool contest!
Not only do I iron just about everyday, I also sew. I make clothes for family and friends. This would be the perfect iron to use when constructing garments to get a professional result.
My own clothes, never, my husband's clothes.. as rarely as possible. I hate my iron!
I iron every workday. I love the look of a crisp ironed blouse. A fancy new iron would be great.
Ironing is on the increase around here since my man started a new job where tees and jeans don't qualify!
I iron only when absolutely necessary. It is a chore I don't like so anything that would make it easier would be great.
I iron as is necessary...every other day or so. I really should do it all at once and save myself some precious time in the morning. Anyway, I have a Rowenta, purchased a few years back and it is so beat up. I have dropped that thing uncountable times during moves and it keeps working, though it looks shameful. I am sold on the brand because it has held up so well. I would love this new Rowenta & hope you will pick me. Thanks!
I iron every few days and would love a new one. Thank you!
I iron every single day and have to use spray starch because the steam from my iron has only two settings: Niagra Falls or slow drip irrigation. I'd love to win this iron.
I iron my clothes about every other day (except on weekends when I refuse to iron).
Growing up I'd spend my weekends at the dry cleaners my parents owned, folding sheets or stretching foam onto chinsy wire hangers (while this may sound like child labor, I assure you all I did it voluntarily and it filled me with a deep sense of pride!). As such, I'd take every care to press my school uniform in the mornings and when I would try to walk out of the house with so much as a single wrinkle on my pleated skirt, my mom would threaten me with a steaming iron until my skirt was on the ironing board. I sadly admit that I no longer own an iron and I can almost see my mom's expression of utmost disappointment when I leave my apartment every morning. Please help me make my mama proud again!
Only when it can't be worn without
I iron every other week,it's a pain, this would help a lot
Send over the guys with the straight jackets -- because as crazy as it sounds, I love to iron! I actually have mini marathons from time to time ironing everything that can be ironed. I absolutely LOVE ironed sheets and pillow cases!!! These days usually occur in the winter. During the summer we wear lots of 100% cotton clothing, so most of my ironing time is spent on daily necessities. I iron on as as-needed basis - no particular day of the week. Please support my addiction and make me the winner of this fabulous iron!!!
Thank you for the opportunity to win!
I don't iron my clothes often, but-DARN- if I won this iron I would iron my clothes all the time!!
I've had a couple of cheapy irons since getting married and avoid them as much as I can. I'd say I iron a couple of times a month. I hand the clothes on a hanger while still damp to reduce wrinkles, that's how much I avoid my junk iron LOL
Funny you should mention this. My husband was having a fit because his shirt was REALLY wrinkled after my daughter folded it (it WAS pretty sad looking) and we had to fluff it in the dryer. Why? No iron in the house!
Here and there but that is because i hat my current iron!
once a week!
My clothes only get ironed as often as I can convince my hubby to do it for me! A new iron would sure make the sweet talking a little easier!
I iron once a month -- I let all the shirts and stuff pile up, and then on the last day of the month - put a movie on, and iron away.
I iron as little as possible, cuz my iron works so lousy. I do iron whenever I sew which is a few times a month unless I'm busy costuming a theater production then the iron and ironing board is never put away for months!
I would love to have this. I hardly ever iron because the iron I have leaks. I get so frustrated with it that I don't iron very often. I haven't worn half of my clothes in months.
I don't iron much but I would have to iron more if I had this iron. $175.00, wow it should automatically iron the clothes like a robot.
Well, I used to iron a lot. Pillowcases and all. Although to be honest, I don't iron too much these days. I do miss those crisp pillowcases though. Maybe this iron would give me incentive to start up again :)
I usually iron once a week- usually on Sunday.
I iron everyday and just this morning the coating on the bottom of my iron started wearing off on the shirt I was ironing. I can sure use this prize!
Weekly and only clothing.
I make piece work quilts, so I iron every day. A large part of quilting is ironing and a really good iron is essential.
Only when absolutely necessary
I never iron, but my wife would love one of these
I try to avoid ironing wherever possible, just because my iron is so awful. I usually hang things in the bathroom to steam out or hang them and hope for the best. I'd love a good iron so I can have perfectly pressed clothes.
I iron once a week, trying to consolidate all my ironables. My iron is VERY old - the Rowenta Advancer Iron looks dreamy!
I iron once a week. I mostly iron my daughters clothes that have frillys and ruffles and my husbands work shirts.
If I didn't do it every week it would be a mountain of ironing in no time at all. Not exactly one of my favorite things to do but since we discovered that polyester has its downsides we have gone back to cottons and linen. Still waiting on someone to create a think tank that will invent a renewable source for a fabric that doesn't yellow with detergent use, won't stain, feels good to the touch and finally...doesn't break down after a washing or two.
I iron my clothes every am in a huge rush!
Hmm, I iron my clothes rarely since I've moved. I usually iron them as needed for special occasions and try to avoid buying things that could wrinkle.
if I'm not being lazy, I try to iron every week or every couple of weeks. it stinks to get up for work and realize that you've got to spend 10 extra minutes ironing an outfit!
I get into an ironing marathon on rainy days. I pick a good movie, but one I've seen before, and have some refreshments close at hand.
I iron my clothes every morning.it is easier to iron them
right when they come out of the dryer.I guess Im one
of the few people that enjoy ironing.I set it up in my living
room so I can listen to the morning news while am
ironing. We buy alot of 100% cotton clothes and they
always look better neatly ironed. Thanks for the chance
at the giveaway.Rowenta is my dream iron.
I only iron when I absolutely have to which is about every ten days. I usually do it while watching TV to make it "easier".
I rarely iron, but I need a good iron.
We iron almost everday. I would love to win this iron!
i rarely iron...but thats mainly because my iron is so old...
I don't iron, but my FIL will iron anything I need ironed. :)
Not enough, due to our craptastic iron. Mostly works out ok for our clothes, but I have to just get through it as best I can for sewing & embroidery projects. I would be the most excited about sticking the rowena to my sheets, which are high quality but get crumpled almost to death by our dryer. No matter how quickly I get them out, they're a mess.
I iron clothing when necessary. Also make a few simple quilts for grandkids, table runner, etc. and an iron is such a necessity.
I would iron more if i had this iron
Did iron every day but my daughters cat just chewed thru the wire on the first Rowenta iron I've ever had and just loved.
I hardly iron anymore... I used to iron to iron... and I would iron every piece of clothing and fabric that I washed. My old iron just isn't doing the trick... I could use a new one! Especially one with a steam feature would be great!
