We've sung the praises of Skip Hop before (here and here for starters) because we love that their products are clever, functional and good looking. Clearly, they have good taste and that shows in their crib bedding sets - one of which we can give to a lucky reader!

The crib bedding is a 5-piece set which includes a comforter, bumper, 2 fitted crib sheets (1 solid, 1 patterned) and a reversible crib skirt (use either side to change up the look). For those who are counting, the thread count is a soft and luxurious 385. The bedding set retails for $220.

AT's own baby mascot, Ursula (daughter of Maxwell and Sara-Kate), has given the bedding a road test and here's what mom has to report:

The Skip Hop set is made from nice, sturdy cotton that, after a few washes, is soft yet substantial. We didn't use the bumper because Ursula has slept bumper-free for sometime now, but the sheets and comforter were great. The mod-dot design turns out to be a morning source of entertainment, with Ursula pointing at the different colored spots and arranging her animals around the design. Dare I say these sheets are educational?! Two questions come up for me. One, is with so many parents now turning toward organic cotton for their babies' clothing and bedding, I wonder if Skip Hop will join the movement toward organics. I also wonder if there could be an option to buy the set without the bumper since these days so many parents have mixed feelings about using a traditional bumper in their baby's cribs.
