It's hard to describe what you feel when you look at this. Would you believe that it's actually a radiator? Carlo Martino totally changed what we'd expect from a radiator, by making it incredibly beautiful and functional at the same time.

We have to say that we weren't sure what we were looking at when we first saw this, but one thing was for sure, it was beautiful. Halfway between an art sculpture and an appliance, the Tiki Column Radiator was created by Italian designer Carlo Martino for ADhoc. It's suspended from the ceiling, hanging somewhat ominously. The aluminum column is six feet long, and you can either hang it from the ceiling or screw it to a wall. We like the former option a lot better. You'll need 7'8" of room height though, so make sure of your measurements. With most modern condos and apartments opting for a loft-like look, with bare ceiling and the like, this shouldn't be an issue.

The radiator itself is available in either a satin or white finish. It reminds us a lot of a suspended lighting fixture. Radiators tend to be boring, but this one sure looks good. It makes it a significant part of any room in which it is located. More information is available from the company's website, as prices haven't been announced, but it would look fabulous in any loft.
