What: Arches of small sparkly granite squares set into a field of otherwise rather uninteresting stone flooring.
Where: Westfield San Francisco Centre, outside the first floor entrance of Bloomingdale's
When: Photos taken Wednesday, October 15, 2008
Why: We first assumed the sparkle had to be coming from either metallic or glass tiles, but closer inspection revealed it to be polished stone. A great way to bring a little bit of magic into what would have otherwise been a boring floor - we can see a similar idea working well in a residential setting.
