This isn't just tile; it's encaustic tile, where the colors are actually poured in, rather than just printed or screened onto the ceramic. Such beautiful stuff ... or can be. This would look great in a superminimalist interior if used properly. Friends of mine in New Jersey have an 1850s house in which the floor of the entrance hall is original encaustic tiles framed by a wide border of oak. Very beautiful.
