We're always on the lookout for interesting tiles and if they hint of Morocco, so much the better, which is why we immediately liked these tiles we saw at Cottage Living's Idea House. Simple and monochromatic, they're antique without being fussy, modern without being hard and we love their simple colour scheme which lets the design shine through...

While their use on the stair risers might be a little old-fashioned for us, we could definitely see them being used in other situations. Part of the Terre line of tiles by Exquisite Surfaces, known as one of the premier sources for antique and newly quarried French limstone and antique terra cotta, they're based on antique tiles from North Africa. You can see more of their tileshere.
