It's the first zone of your home that your guests see. Why not place the entry way at the top of your "de-clutter" list? Hang some hooks, grab an entry table and design a landing strip that blocks new clutter from even getting in the door. And here's our little Unplggd secret: Make sure you've got a compact paper shredder in there somewhere!

Our landing strip functions mostly as two things: A place to keep our keys and a spot to sort through mail. Oh, and by "mail," we mean junk credit card offers with an eerie amount of personal info on them.
So inevitably, the junk mail makes its way from our (not really) clutter-catching entryway into piles in our home office where the shredder is.
Instead, we're getting behind the idea of keeping a compact paper shredder by the door in order to stop junk mail in its tracks. Whether it's a desktop style, handheld or placed on top of your recycling bin, it will help you keep your apartment clean and your security intact!
If you're ready to join the Landing Strip Shredder Alliance, here are some compact shredders to check out (Pictured above, clockwise from top left):

Shaw's Original Fir...
That's it! I like that! Superbe!
Oh I'd shed something important on the first day it was there!
Anything that is really important seems to come around again. I'd shred in bliss.
