Tim has shared some of his amazing home improvement projects with us in the past — most notably Tim's Weekend Painting Project: Blue Bookcase & TV Wall and his Stairwell Feature Wall. In this project, Tim shows us a glimpse of his home's exterior and explains why he needs house numbers that are over a foot tall!
My most recent residential project is nearing completion and I thought the readers might be interested in some front door shots. I’ve been inspired by Apartment Therapy’s numerous posts on front door colors, modern entries, house numbers, etc., so I wanted to share my results.
The house numbers are custom laser cut from a local fabricator to my drawings and then mounted to the house with some 1-½" stainless standoffs (I mounted them myself!). Each number is 13" tall because the house sits about 100' from the street. The doorbell is from Spore and the stainless planter from CB2. The color of the front door is Valspar “Green Gecko” (6006-8A).
