There's a beautiful minimalism to these small graphic and abstract paintings of ordinary houses by Kentucky-based retired architect Marcia Alscher. The images record the modest architecture of her area and transform it into something both childlike in its simplicity and sophisticated in its elegance.
The paintings are acrylic on canvas and only 4x6 or 8x10-inches in size. The artist offers many of them for sale from her website where the framed works range in price from $50 to $500.

Nice; Sheeler would approve.
I love Marcia's work! I had the pleasure of visiting her studio, which is a tabletop filled with a tiny easel, tiny brushes, and tiny canvases. Looking at the work online, it's hard to really understand how small it is!
didn`t see any sale on the website..
Sarah, could you pls answer my question? I dont see prices anywhere. & Cincinnati is quite far from Connecticut.
They're right on the site. E.g.:
portfolio -> barns -> view now -> buy -> price $400
It seems fairly straightforward.
Dear Shirez,
Just saw that you are having difficulties with my website.
If my site does not show a price it may be because the painting has sold.
Please let me know if you see prices on the paintings that are available - because as you say, Connecticut is very far away from Cincinnati. Also, I would like to know for sure that my site is working. I hope that this is not too much effort for you.
Cheers,
Marcia
