Q: My daughter is turning 1 next month and I would like celebrate it creating a (roughly) 3 minute video with the hours (!) of short videos and thousands (!) of pictures we've taken of her. There are enough good tools for beginners out there (Picasa, YouTube) to create a decent product, but I'd appreciate any tips on how to mix and match them into something coherent. Does anyone have any experience and suggestions? (continued...)

Maybe sticking to a strictly chronological order makes sense? Maybe I should gather videos of themes and put them together (eating, playing, sleeping, waking up)? Maybe I should stick with videos of interaction (daughter with parents, grandparents, cousins, etc)? Do you know of any very cute video made from many different videos and pictures, documenting a party, trip, or year of life? If so, I'd be forever grateful if you'd share it with me!
