Q: Hello fellow Apartment Therapy readers, I am putting my home on the market at the end of next month and will have it cleaned and staged for showings by then. I will still be living in the home while it is for sale, which is an experience I have never had before. It could take months or even years for it to sell because the market isn't very good here where I am living and my house is unique and has acreage...

I will need to keep the house, porch, and yard clean and tidy all the while until (fingers crossed) it sells. I know that I will need to keep up on the regular housecleaning and outdoor chores but can anyone offer me any special tips for making this experience easier and more pleasant for me?

I haven't seen this issue addressed on Apartment Therapy or other blogs. The Property Brothers just say "Keep it clean," and their houses seem to sell within a couple of weeks. As I said, I am not expecting that to happen in my case. Thanks in advance for any help and moral support you can give me. -Sent by Bee
