Tips for Touching Up Original Wood Stain?

Good Questions

Q: I have a matching dresser and nightstand set I inherited from my Great Grandmother years ago. I love the look and especially the color of the wood stain. However, years of moving them around have taken their toll on the finish, and it has scratches an marks all over.

Due to the age of the stain I'm not sure how well most of tricks I've seen can fill in the gaps in color. Also, I'm not too keep on refinishing the pieces right now as space, time and money are an issue. Any suggestions to sprucing them up until would be appreciated.
