Prefab housing has been a hot topic lately. Inhabitat has a great update on one of the more hi-tech concepts, the TK IT House. Designed by Taalman Koch Architecture, the TK IT house has been designed with a bunch of "smart" technology, including radiant heat flooring and a photovaltaic roof. The first one is almost completed and it's actually going to be a guest house for a home in Villa Park. They have kept an interesting construction blog that documents their progress. With so many concepts for prefab housing being shown in magazines, it's great to see how one has actually been built, and one that is also here in the southland. A second one is currently planned for construction near Joshua Tree.
