To Do: Shred Your Paper

100208-shredder01.jpgAs we gear up for the Fall Cure, one of the things we know that we'll be focusing on is decluttering. Now that we've begun banking online, we can definitely get rid of a lot of paper, from old tax forms to ancient bank statements to unopened junk mail. While we own a shredder, the amount we're hoping to toss may be a lot more than our home model can accommodate...

That's why we'll probably check out the community shredding event in the Faircrest neighborhood at 5931 W. 18th St. Los Angeles, CA 90035 this Saturday morning from 9 to noon. Charging 35 cents per pound, a mobile shredder from Reduced to Shreds will mulch your paper to confetti while you watch. Items they won't accept? Newspaper, plastic items, carbon paper, or trash.
