Beanbags probably held a loving place in your heart at some point. But most parents are over that stage by the time their kids starting begging for one. There must be something to the obsession though, since it passes from generation to generation. Plus, manufacturers happily keep bringing out new versions to fuel the fire, but is that a good thing or a bad thing?
The new range of soft floor seating is vast - everything from mountains to storage containers to carefully constructed "chairs". Some are way out of a kids room price range, and some are clearly for the novelty of it all, like those cool wool rocks! But once you have your crazy beanbag at home, would you use it?

Shaw's Original Fir...
We got my toddler a $20 bean bag to lounge on at her grandma's house, where were were visiting the whole summer. She enjoyed her place to plop in the living room where she could read, watch TV, and fall asleep. I used to have a giant velvet covered floor pillow. They are great as a perch while playing on the floor. I want to get a full sized Fat Boy for myself when we move to a bigger place.
