Smart phones are getting faster, brighter, higher def and noticeably more powerful. But all those newfangled features take up a lot of battery power, meaning you're often left with a waning battery by the late afternoon if you use your cell for more than just a few minutes a day. We've never been huge fans of cell phone cases, usually relying upon a protective screen film, some care and a c'est la vie attitude about tech getting banged up. But we do like carrying around an extra PowerSkin battery case as backup in our messenger bag while traveling because it not provides an additional amount of protection (recycled silicone rubber) when heading out for anywhere beyond a daily outing, but more importantly, using one extends the life of your mobile by 100%.
No lying, your phone will definitely look pregnant once you slide the battery back on, but the tradeoff is a fair one considering how much extra "on" time you get using it (360 minutes of talk time and 300 hours of standby), something we only do once our mobile's battery is nearing its end anyway. As most things tech, it's better to be safe (and over-prepared) than sorry.
