Today I have hunted down great design quarry and finally found out where this cool pendant lamp seen above in Jeanine's house comes from. Turns out, it's Dutch and from 1997.....

So frustrating! This is exactly the lamp I want - a few of them for my kitchen and dining area - but can't swing ordering from London with the crappy dollar. So close and yet so so so far. Curses!!
I am hoping the cabinets are much more easily accessible as I'm looking for something similar to use in my bathroom to store towels. Can anyone suggest a good source? two caveats, I'm not in a financial position to purchase high-end and I'm basically all thumbs :(
