One of the things we love about photographer Todd Selby is the way he's able to tell the (partial) story of someone's life in just a few photos. Even in this ad campaign for Cole Haan's Spring/Summer 2010 collection, the story comes first and the stuff is second.
For the campaign, Selby worked with eight different people, taking photos of their homes and sneaking some Cole Haan products into the shots. We think the shoe company took a smart approach, keeping their copy to a minimum and letting the photos speak for themselves.
Like the interviews on his website, the ad campaign stories include handwritten questions and answers with a hodge-podge of vignettes and portrait shots. You can view the full collection of "inspired lives" on Cole Haan's site and check out additional photos and info at the Selby.

This is for shoes! Those are awesome pictures, I would have never guessed!
The colors!
(is it spelled "Hann" or "Haan"?)
Pathetic.
I am sure I will get bashed for making this comment, but that woman's legs are just gorgeous and the angle at which they are photographed is amazing.
I love the yellow credenza...and Maria Sharpova's legs are gorgeous, plus from a design standpoint they're strong and functional. It's refreshing to see athletes as sex symbols.
