Andrea writes a blog in Brazil called Superziper. She sent us an email about the Tofu Studio workspace...

"I have published a great story in my blog about an outstanding sewing room that two Brazilian crafters have done for their new studio. Emy and Eduardo built all the furniture by themselves from scratch with a very low budget and the final result is not only beautiful but oh so very functional."

Ideas to steal for creative workspaces:

  • small patterned paper or fabric decorating the back panel of utilitarian bookshelves (which looks especially good mixed with the larger pattern of the floral drapes)
  • large colorful work surface which has uses shelving for legs - good additional storage space
  • simple seating that does double duty for both the office area (with computers) and work table (with sewing machines)
  • fabrics stored in clear bins for added pattern and easy access
  • an overall clean color scheme of white with brights and plenty of plants and flowers keeps the studio cheery

Check out the original post here. (It is in Portuguese, but as Andrea says, "I think the pictures speak for themselves".)
