Hold on tight. We learned about Toggler Anchors when a wall-hung cabinet we bought came with them for use in installation on hollow walls. They had to be strong, as the cabinet itself was darn heavy.
What really grabbed us, though, is that Toggler makes a couple of specialty anchors for specific purposes. One is the wire shelf anchor. Ingenious...
It has wire shelf clips integrated into the exposed end of the anchor so, once installed, wire shelving systems like Metro can be snapped right into place on the wall anchor.
The other smart product they have is the picture hook anchor. Same concept: a tough anchor with a hook on the end for hanging pictures. So you're not installing an anchor that holds a hook that holds a picture. You're simply installing the anchor and hanging your picture directly on it.

These are sophisticated variants of the old toggle bolt--a device I've used for years. With toggle bolts, you could hang a block of granite on drywall! It's good to bear in mind, though, that once a toggle bolt is sunk into a wall, it's never coming back out. At least with the original bolts. To get rid of them, you can push them all the way into the wall so they fall into the space between the studs. But you can hang up heavy stuff, like big mirrors, and know that there won't be any crashes in the night!
