i've actually been looking for the cute little metal figurines of the boy peeing and the girl sitting, very common in Germany, but no idea where to find them. Anyone have any ideas?
The most interesting thing I saw to designate restrooms was in the Jeckyll and Hyde Club. It's designed like a library so when you go down to where the bathrooms are you are confronted with two doors covered with book bindings. Needless to say most people have to stop and stare for a minute to figure it out. All the authors on one side are male and on the other female.
Some of these are definitely TMI.
What a fun link!
Have to share....from a restroom in Bonaire, in the middle of a park filled with cacti and desolate nature:

We have a women's restroom sign that I got off of freecycle as a joke since my girlfriend doesn't relate to the skirt symbol and has walked into mens' bathrooms by mistake.
Do they have the skirt symbol in Scotland?
Pixie--
Which ones are TMI? I think these are pretty tame.
Not the ones above, but in the link.
Ah, I think you meant some via the link. Still tame to me, I guess.
I was at the 2006 Hon Festival. I love that sign. But my favorite in this collection is the pizza. Very clever.
