As much as we try to (and love to) support our small, local businesses, each year there are a number of gifts we end up purchasing online. And in the online merchandise world shipping times redefine the notion of "last minute gifts." So if you still have some online shopping to do, we thought you'd like to know that tomorrow is the 3rd annual Free Shipping day.
So far over 1,500 merchants are participating from biggies like Toys R Us to places you might not have discovered yet like Constructive Playthings. Each site will list their free shipping deal beginning at midnight EST tonight with delivery by Christmas Eve in the continental US. This doesn't mean that absolutely every item from these merchants will ship for free so read each site's deal carefully. However, more merchants than ever before are offering free shipping on everything they sell:
"Such exclusive incentives aren't solely limited to small niche shops, either. Marquee names like Dell, L.L. Bean, Barnes & Noble, Coldwater Creek and Overstock.com will waive delivery costs on every purchase tomorrow."
Visit FreeShippingDay.com for a list of participants and more information.

... and to Canada??? poop.
foog foog: shipping to Canada is hardly ever free because it's actually quite expensive for retailers. Because products are (generally) already imported, they have to pay a special duty to, essentially, export the product again. We usually suggest to people that, if at all possible, you ship to somewhere in the US and then ask that person to mail it to Canada - any given person can send things much less expensively. It's a bit of a hassle, certainly, and requires that you have a trusted and generous friend in the US but it will help avoid those high shipping costs.
I'M ALL OVER IT!!! Thanks. :)
