Love the concept! And many great features. Strongly considering this one. Of course, one concern is how long the company will stay in business. I often buy refillable scratchers only to find that, by the time I need to refill them, I can't find the refills anymore!

I like this version as you can buy the inserts in target and they aren't bespoke and appreciate his thought and entrepreneurship. but nearly 200$ for a piece that's knocked together in his wood shop (hello visible screws!) is a bit much. not willing to pay his startup costs of buying power tools - in each purchase!

i have just the scratch pad insert without the wooden lounger and my cat, Odin loves it! He's stopped scratching at the foot of the bed mattress corner and uses this instead. Someday, i'll spring for the actual bed itself!

I have this and my 18 year old girl loves it. She sits on it all the time and the scratch pad lasts forever. (I've had this scratch pad for over a year and it still looks pretty amazing). Beautiful piece that doesn't make your room look cheap like most cat beds/scratching posts do. Totally worth the money if you have furniture and rugs you like and want to save from kitty claws.

I love these - and so do both my kitties! I started off with one so of course ONE kitty took custody. I had to order another one so kitty #2 would have her own. These are wonderful!

I, too, have the comfort padlet (the cardboard insert) and my two large cats just love it! They fight over it. It cleans easily with a vaccuum and it is very durable. After almost a year, it still looks great.

In regards to the posts about cost, this is definitely much better quality, dense cardboard than the products I have found online and in pet stores.

Not only do my cats adore their brawny bed but I just love this company and Andrew. We travel all around the country and bring their bed wherever we go.....it was the best investment we ever made!!!

I've got two of these. We have 3 cats; a small 10 lb cat, a 14 lb cat and a nearing 20 lb cat and each one absolutely LOVES spending time on it; of course our 20 pounder loves it the most. He's napping on it as we speak. :)

These are great! They are large enough for bigger cats to lounge on without hanging off the edges. My Maine Coon cat really likes the bolster sides.

I purchased the Brawny Cat for my large male cat. This is great...so many scratch lounges are made for kitten sized cats. This fits him perfectly, and all my cats love it.

I have one bed and 2 padlets - my 2 large breed (Siberian) cats really need the room to stretch out, and the Brawny Cat beds give them that space. It's their favorite place to sleep.

It's also their favorite place to scratch - as soon as I come home they run to their respective pads and scratch away in excitement. These have really cut down on furniture scratching! They totally ignored the cheap cardboard scratchers I got at retail stores. And bonus, the bed/padlets are nice to look at ;)

H66666666i9. Ok, that comment was from Regina, who just marched across the keyboard to tell you how much she loves to sleep and scratch on our Brawny cat Big Baby and Big Baby Junior. She loves these beds. They are both comfortable and beautiful for all five of my crew. They like to curl up together on the BB or stretch out on BBJ. I've had them over a year and still haven't flipped the padlet to the other side. They are awesome.

I searched the world over for an extra large scratch pad for Pickles, a 30 pound big handsome orange tabby. The widest ones I found were 9 inches or 15 inches (Imperial).....not wide enough for Pickles to stretch out on and scratch. Found Brawnycat and am forever grateful. This is the tightest corrugated cardboard that is made...not the cheap kind that lasts only a few weeks or months. I have bought so many scratch pads in the past.....but I will not buy anymore EXCEPT from Brawnycat. I bought several of the padlets, in addition to the Big Baby Lounger for Pickles. I have given them as gifts to special cats in my life....and each padlet comes with the organic super duper catnip. This scratch lounger IS NOT JUST LIKE others except for the size. You'd have to buy 3 of the other brand and put them together to get the fantastic surface space that you get with Brawnycat. The special curved ends are pillows for Pickles and the other cats. Big Baby is 26 inches wide....and Big Baby Junior is 23 inches wide.....can't beat that with anything else on the market. You get what you pay for....and my money's on Brawncat!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these! If you can't afford the beautiful handmade cedar scratch lounger......try one of the padlets next time you replace your old scratch pad. You won't be disappointed!!!!

This ultimate cat scratcher/lounger is the greatest thing ever for all cats! My two cats, Dexter, and Ziggy LOVE this lounger! It is the best bed/scratcher- no question! I think the creator of this should be nominated for kitty-sainthood! No kidding!

One of our rescue cats won a bed and all the cats fight over it. These beds are the best! The cats fight over who gets to sit on the bed. They are well made and I would highly recommend them! Brawny Cat is a wonderful company and Andrew is amazing.

I have a B'Tweener, and my cats and I absolutely love it! It is well-made and has a nice look, which is important as I keep it in my living room. My cats love it, as both a scratcher and as a place to sleep. They usually time-share it amicably, but occasionally, one will bully the other off of it, so I'm sure I'll have to get another one soon. I am very pleased with both the product and the service we received from Brawny Cat.

My boy, Flip is a 14 lb Maine Coon. Before I purchased the B'Tweener he was "never quite comfortable" on any cat furniture. I've had Flip's B'Tweener for a good year... and it was one of the best investments I've ever made for my kitty. Plus it goes really nicely with the modern/mid century decor in our apartment.

This design is just brilliant. I have a zillion of those "throw-away" cardboard scratchers scattered throughout the house. The cats use them, to be sure, but they're not very large or sturdy, and certainly not attractive. This item is definitely on their holiday wish list!

I absolutely LOVE this! I have a large cat that also "tries" to lounge on scratcher and I know that he would love this too.

Lovely! I like the design of it - something sturdy for large cat or house with more then one. Something they can scratch/rub on but sleep on it. It's a lovely idea - I love it! Plus a little place to put toys!

My Maine coons loved this scratch lounger from the moment they saw it. It's the primo spot for them in our home. It's the perfect size and shape for them. Plus, it's beautifully made, down to the smallest details (like felt pads on the base to protect your floor). It's the most aesthetically pleasing scratch pad I've come across! LOVE it.

My large crew love it. Big cats, small cats, kittens. . . really like to lounge in it and scratch away at it. Granted, it isn’t cheap but it’s well made and pleasing to the eye. And the cats truly do get a lot of use out of it.

This is a great design. I have one. My cat adores it. It created a window seat for her in my small stufio apartment without taking up a lot of space. Beautiful piece with replaceable scratch lounge inserts. It's thoughtful sustainable and practical.

i personally love it because it really is a solidly built piece of furniture. They don't look like cat beds, its not this ugly thing in the middle of the room. it blends in and looks great!

the cardboar padlet is very high quality. i purchased a jumbo sized scratchpad elsewhere and when cleaning it found it was only 2 standard glued together because it broke in half. of course it did not have the bolstered sides which my fuzz ball loves. i have no problem putting money into this product because it is much much less than my white leather couches. when looking for the ultimate longer i was considering height because i wanted it infront of a window so leo could doze and enjoy the view. i wonder if there could be an option to customize leg height for a fee?

My two cats love this bed. They are both small females but they both fit on it. Sometimes fight over it. They love scrathing on it too. The wood design makes it blend in with furniture as well.
