Which is why I love the Tool Set by Jonas Damon.
And yes, this set has its downfalls. First, the price is less than ideal ($95.00), and it doesn't include what I think of as an essential tool (a hammer), but the look of these tools is gorgeous, and they all fit perfectly into it's sleek black casing. So if you want an attractive set of tools, and just need them for small jobs, this kit will certainly be a good fit for you.

Shaw's Original Fir...
I don't really understand the whole "set" thing -we have the classic red toolbox (which is older than we are), and a bunch of mismatched handmedown tools. I'm all for aesthetic, but I don't think attractiveness matters a bit if it doesn't fulfill its primary function, which is to help you fix things. The wood handles are pretty, but I doubt the quality of the tools matches up to other brands. Quality trumps aesthetics, IMO, especially when you're trying to fix things.
Plus, who is displaying their tools if they're all for buying a basic set? Go to Home Depot, buy a toolbox, fill it with the basics, and it'll be cheaper than $95.
so these are the "tools" you "leave out" when you have guests so they think that you're all industrious and don't just hire someone to fix everything for you, right?
As much as I agree the the missing hammer is a disappointment it is a nice gift idea. I have the flashlight in a larger size that I love. It is the brightest flashlight I've ever had and I can leave it out because its just so darn pretty.
I don't really see those "tools" (as mcfacekick correctly wrapped in quotes) lasting all that long doing actual tool like things.
a maglite, multi-use craftsman screwdriver, stanley level, tape measure, and a dead-on hammer could all be had in shades of black and put in a black toolbox and would probably cost around $95 and be a "matching" set...also, they would last quite a bit longer.
no one else dig DeWalt black/yellow then? it goes with everything.
