We just "planted" some fake flowers outside our building's laundry room. We tried to use the real stuff last summer but the live flowers couldn't survive in the low-light area.
We made it our mission to add a splash of color to this dingy space. We already had a window box and a whole mess of soil, so we opted for some cheap faux replacements.
At first, they reminded us of the window box flowers in Pee Wee's Playhouse.
After a few days, we still think they're goofy but they do brighten up the space. Every time we enter the laundry room or take the trash out, we smile.
What are your thoughts on using fake flowers outside? Inside? Never?
