Prices run the gamut for these fun and playful kid's chairs, and while some may seem pricey, versions strongly inspired by many of the pieces can usually be found relatively easily, however, in the interest of paying respect to the designers, originals are shown wherever possible in the list below.

These are all great! I particularly like the Hay Little Nobody chairs and the Vitra Panton Junior chairs. Always great to see little kids furniture that have a bit of character to them.
The Panton Junior chairs are not good for kids! Maybe for older kids, but for four and under the design does not suit the way children use chairs. I've seen so many kids (of all ages) topple over because the chair cannot cope with weight being put on either side or on the very front. These chairs work great if the child can sit straight down into the chair, but most young children 'climb' into chairs as they haven't got the gross motor skills (or the height!) to sit on them as an adult would. I'm sure other AT people would disagree, but just a warning!
Great to see another round-up of attractive kids products that are also affordable for the average family!
OMG! A womb chair for kids. I am dying slowly. so cute.
It's fun to window shop these designs, but get real. I just bought a really cute Little Tikes table & 2 chairs off Craigslist for $20. I guarantee it's more functional, and no need to stress out when kiddos hammer, draw or scratch all over them!
Hum. I would never have thought to pair "very cute" with "Little Tikes."
You've missed my favorites, the Bertoia armless and the Jens Risom collection.
You've missed some of the best (and most functional) chairs:
- Hans Wegner's Peter's Chair and Table, which are beautiful, and very, very practical and well designed.

- Alvar Aalto's Children's Chair N65. Alvar Aalto is due to be discovered by a new generation (he was big in the '80s):

-The Charles and Ray Eames Child's Chair, bright red molded plywood with a little heart cutout, utterly, utterly charming:

More recent and more whimsical designer chairs for kids:

Love most of those, but waaaaaay out of my price range for a child's chair. I dislike colored plastic children's furniture, so we will probably go with the child's Poang from IKEA for $30.
Forgot to list the first designer highchair, the Artek high chair, from 1965:

Also, the Community Playthings laminated birch is super functional and really nicely designed. A lot of preschools and schools use them because they are super durable and comfortable. I also love the "low adult" chiar.
I just got rid of our "designer" kids play table after it fell apart for the third time and am replacing it with these.

I bought 4 orange vitra panton chairs (possibly knockoffs) off of Kijiji for $3 each! I just liked the modern look to them.. I didn't realize they were so popular! They are toddler size... but they were kept outside, and the orange is scraped a bit in some parts... could definetly use some new paint on them.. Any idea how to paint these things?!
The Pantone Junior chairs are beautiful and come in mouthwatering colors but it is true, they aren't good for kids. I bought four of these chairs for my two and four year old children's table and they began to avoid them for fear of falling. Placing a carpet beneath the table helped a bit with slippage but eventually I brought back their old - not so beautiful chairs, and they were overjoyed. The pantone chairs are downstairs and are used less often. I feel safer that way.
